I don't usually play hidden object type games, but I was pleased to find this one generally kept my interest. It was the best game of this type that I have played. The art, graphics are gorgeous - the characters are beautiful. Great atmosphere, intriguing storyline and backstory. It was fairly short game for me as it only took about 5 hours before completing the game, including the special bonus prequel chapter as well. But for most people it should take around 4 - 8 hours. It was good distraction for a day when I was sick and had a lot of free time. I usually go through games a bit faster than average, still it wasn't a very long one. I do give this game 5 stars for all of the elements that I listed. If you like hidden object/mystery type games - then chances are you will love this one.

Heartwrenching and beautiful come very close.
I was able to play this game through purchasing, the Legends of Terror 20 pack games(yep a pack of 20 games on one disk, awesome right?) through Target. I felt the need to review it here since amazon is practically my home.
Anyway,
The storyline was perfection! There was never a dull moment. I was genuinely surprised at the turn of events within the game. Masterful story-telling is what it is. Be sure to play through the bonus chapter when you complete the game! I mean it! It is a bit long but it is well worth it as it goes in more depth tot the story. There were a few unanswered questions I had, but overall I was satisfied with the ending. I jumped out of my seat and squealed in fear a few times!
The artwork is so very beautiful. The style is eye-popping, beautiful and blended with the story very well. The puzzles were very clever as well.
The music, animation ectr, just magnificent! I played the game on casual mode and it took me about 6+ hrs to complete.
Dark Strokes: Sins of the Fathers has by far been the most original, and well crafted PC game I have played in a very long time. I am so happy that I have gotten the chance to play it. I would
