Editorial Reviews

When Daniel Kane, a retired CIA operative returns to his hometown, he realizes his "covert operator" days are not over. Everyone from family friends, to a drug lord, to a local pastor, to a psychotic genius begin to lead Kane down a trail of new and alarming discovery.

So what really happened after hurricane Katrina? Was Hurricane Katrina the beginning of a new domestic terrorism control experiment?
Why are black inner cities falling apart, and what did hurricane Katrina show us about possible conspiracies to control the black populace?
What secret organization wants Kane dead before he can find the truth?

Dark Target is a story of cross and double cross, bad and good, right and wrong and money, power and corruption at the highest levels of power.
In the tradition of "The Bourne Identity" series, and employing the action sequences created in the style of legendary Chinese Director John Woo's films, Dark Target is a tense action thriller with the deepest of meanings:
How far will a government go to change the face of society?
DARK TARGET may hold the key.

2 disc unrated edition. Disc 2 contains deleted scenes, director's statement, preview of Cinema Lexzikon's unreleased action horror classic "DEMONS RISING", blooper reel, more.

NOTE: This film contains Gore, Violence, Profanity. Not recommended for those under 18 years of age.

BEFORE PURCHASE OR DOWNLOAD PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Dark Target was shot in HD 1080i 24P. Unfortunately, this distribution channel does not provide Blu Ray disc sales or HD downloads of this title. This program had to be down converted to standard definition so it can be played in all devices for DVD playback. . DON'T let it take away from your enjoyment of the feature! We hope to one day be able to offer Blu ray and high def media. At this time it is too costly for most Indie filmmakers to use,(Including Cinema Lexzikon) unless we give up our copyrights, masters and profits to big corporate distributors. We'd rather be able to present our project to the public the way it was intended, than to have a big Film company dress it up and sell it to you while cutting out the little guy. Thanks for your support and your understanding! Thanks to Amazon and Create space for this outlet to buck the system! Kudos to John Cassavetes for his inspiration to
do it outside of the system!

This movie has many twist and turns in it. The good guys turned bad will leave you saying "now that is messed up." The fighting and action will keep you on your seat. Brian Spangler takes Daniel Cane to the whole next level. There is nice humor throughout the movie thanks to the hat wearing Mountain Jack (Cory Stinger). But fellows and ladies beware because Alisha (Gwen Thomas) will make you gasp in horror and laugh at her command of a room of fellows. All in all you will wonder is this in fact a true conspiracty, could something really be in the water. I think I am going to stick to drinking bottled water.

In a sea of over priced Hollywood remakes, and bad, bad, lo budget indie short films, this one isn't a bad choice. The fight scenes are particularly awesome. The special effects aren't Hollywood grade, but for a film that was shot with little financial backing, it's a great show. The opening sequence is particularly controversial. I know, because i wrote it. Hope you enjoy the show.
