Great read! I was glued to the pages as the lives were protected and saved by mighty angels and deceived and ruined as puppets by mighty the dark-things.
David's vision of Satan creating "Death" was awesome, I was in the lab, frozen as the plot unfolded and transformed the unwitting demon into Death it self. keep writing and your gift will make room for itself.

And keep praying the enemies/dark-things are not pleased when someone turns on the light.

This book is really good. I don't like reading books to much but this book I could not put it down. Mr. Humphrey Sr has done an excellent job on keeping the reader on the edge from page to page. He shows how real the world is and how the battle is not just for us alone to go through. Keep doing what you are doing Mr. Humphrey. May GOD continue to bless you through your work.

This is without a doubt Hollywood movie material! If they think Jason and Jason returns 15 times will draw a crowd, what would happen if they ever had enough guts to put the "real thing" on the big screen?!
The battle for man's soul has been so clearly described here that even the biggest doubting Thomas would have to rethink their position on whether or not there is a God.
This book offers entertainment, excitment, and deep thought provoking situations for the reader.
A must read for believers and non believers alike. To God be the glory for bringing this wonderful author to the forefront where he belongs!

Wow, what a gripping book, providing insight to the spiritual world. Through a fictional and gripping story, you are also taught and realize how little the everyday material world means in God's grand scheme of things, and how wonderful and powerful God is. Through his Son, Jesus, he has bestowed this power on us to use against the principalities of darkness.

I would highly recommend this life changing book to everyone. After reading this book you will realize how important it is to hear from God and to follow His direction. It could be the difference between life and death! Also it will teach you the terrible consequences of sin in your life and convict you to live a moral and Godly lifestyle. David M. Humphrey Sr did an excellent job conveying real life messages in an exciting, action packed fiction novel. Congratulations David and keep up the good work.

I found the book "Dark Things" to be packed with realistic information regarding God's love for us and the satanic forces of this world in its storyline. The storyline is so real that I found myself relating to how satanic forces, if you let it, can take complete control of your life. Mr. Humphrey did an outstanding job through this book of telling how we must always be mindful of who and what we deal with and that if we are not sure that it is Godly to shun it. After reading the book I have found that I have become even more aware of the things that go on not only around me but within me as a person. I would advise everyone to get a copy of this book to read.

In a word, "OUTSTANDING"!!!! Awesome Mr. Humphrey. Absolutely awesome!! I can't believe this is the first time for this author. I'm not an avid reader, but this captured me and I could not put it down. Talk about painting a vivid picture! Mr. Humphrey's ability to bring his characters to life is superb. I almost thought I knew these people. My spirit man was strengthened by the literary genius of this author. Any believer would be. Bravo, Mr.Humphrey. Keep up the great work. I'm truely expecting great pieces of literary art from this up and coming writer. Hey Devil, the jig's up!! Somebody's got your number!! And he ain't scared to tell it!! There are novels that, when you pick them up you can put them down. Where the intention of perusing a few pages before bed is the goal, NOT in this case....
DARK THINGS is a treat of true delightful excitement and pure adrenaline. From the moment you begin, you are thrown into the very thick of chaos. A whirlwind of drama and mayhem surround you as you learn of the characters plight and names. What seems like a quick intro, is merely a formality... for as the story quickly unfolds your feeling of angst grows.
This is a story unlike any other. It's characters? Humans ... Celestial Angels... Dark things, and the plot, this combination makes for the best incredible read you will ever have!

This is not a book you put down ...UNTIL YOU'RE FINISHED... otherwise you will annoyingly find that, "life" just gets in the way. Many times I found that I couldn't stop reading and when I did... my mind was reeling. Sleep wasn't important, finding out what happened to the characters was.
I was right there.... in the operating room as Virginia barely clung to life, there when Mahatiel was attacked... there when the dark things plotted to steal what didn't belong to them... there as they devoured souls in there path..... there.. NO! It wont do for you to just read the review. This is a novel that has to be read to gain the FULL understanding of what I mean.

It's hard to believe that such an piece of work is the first for David M. Humphrey Sr.
The images and clarity of this work of literary art mandates it be read. I honestly believe that this only the first of many novels to come. In excited anticipation I eagerly await the next installment. As a voracious reader, I have to say that this is a book that all who read will enjoy.
DARK THINGS will make an incredible movie. It has everything to captivate an audience and MORE! The word is spreading about DARK THINGS.
This is definitely one for your book club(s). So if you've found that your book club is a little drab... in need of some life... this the book.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

As I read through the pages of this book, the war in the heavenlies between the Kingdom of God and the forces of darkness became even more real to me. This book provides insight into spiritual warfare that has to be unprecedented. Although it is fiction, it is still fact based. It's based on the word of God, the Holy Bible, and Brother Humphrey put a Holy Spirit inspired spin on it that should cause every person to understand how real Satan and his kingdom are. More importantly, it demonstrates the awesome power of God and proves that if we are on the Lord's side and He is for us, we are victorious over the works of the enemy in our lives. If there is the slightest propensity in the sinner to forsake the things of this world and live for God, this book will push them over into a place of total surrender to Him. In addition, it will frighten the believer into selling out to God totally and completely. I highly recommend purchasing this book because it is a true blessing. I thank God for Divinely placing it in my hands.

This book was TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I couldn't put the book down! (even almost got fired for bringing it on the sales floor!)I can't believe how great the book was. I can't wait to see if there is a second part continuing the search for the rapist! This is a book if you have any doubts about, just pick it up and read it, you will love it! An amazing story with a great ending!!
