Dance OR Die, October 2, 2007
This review is from: Dark Trance Vs. Neogoth (Audio CD)
I personally ADORE this 2 disc set! I'm not a DJ mind you & don't know crap about blending & mixing tracks so I can't comment on that like some of the previous people. But what I do know is good music when I hear it. I'm not exactly "goth" but I do tend to enjoy alot of things from the sub-culture but I also enjoy things of the rivethead genre as well as the punk & the rave scene...so maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. I like fast danceable beats regardless of the genre & that's exactly what this is! I listen to abit of everything, but for dancing I enjoy synthpop, darkwave, goth, industiral, electroclash, EBM, breakbeats, hard core & dark trance. This is a great buy, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait for volume 2 to come out!!

Best Cybergoth/Dark Trance CD I own, September 18, 2007
This review is from: Dark Trance Vs. Neogoth (Audio CD)
This is easily the best cybergoth/trance album I own. I can totally listen to this album all the way through and let it keep on repeating. Even though it's spread-out over two discs, it seems like the energy never stops. I've been listening to this set for over 5 months straight. The transitions are better than most I've heard and it almost always leads nicely right into the next track, which is cool if you're into that sort of thing. I frequent clubs here in Miami and I wish DJ RiB would show these guys how to spin! Speaking of which, the fact that RiB from Razed in Black mixed this feels like an added bonus.
So, is there Dark Trance? Definitely. Is there Neo-Goth? Sure, and they've been mixed for the dance floor. Which genre wins? Dark Trance dominates.
Notable Tracks:
A Forest [Ron Van Den Beuken Remix] - The Cure
Suicide [Senseless Remix Edit] - Neotek
Frozen [DJ Rib Remix] - Celldweller
Dementia [Razed in Black Remix] - UV
... and for all you Arnold fans, a nice take on the Running Man theme...

yes it's trance.....but, November 15, 2006

Don't get me wrong, this _is_ a trace CD. What Razed in Black has done is darken it up a fair bit and that is a GoodThing(tm). I mostly spin electro-industrial and futurepop so a lot of this stuff won't be immediately useful in one of my sets. On it's own it's a pretty damn good set to put on to listen to. Some of the transitions could have been managed better but there are quite a few that blend seamlessly. It's usually on rotation in my car or at my workstation at work.
