Book Description

Finding Atlantis is just the beginning...

Psychic ex-spy Mira Raiden's discovery of the tomb of an Atlantean king, is just the first piece in a puzzle that will launch her on a journey to find the Trinity--an ancient device with the power to remake the world.

But Mira is not alone in her search for the Trinity. Arrayed against her is an unholy alliance of evil: a team of brutish mercenaries; the beautiful but deadly daughter of Mira's former mentor; a manipulative grave robber, risen from the dead; and the heirs of the greatest evil the world has ever known.

To find the Trinity and prevent the awakening of a horror beyond comprehension, Mira will travel to the ends of the earth, and into the darkest corners of a world that existed before history.

"Sean Ellis writes action scenes that rival those of Clive Cussler and James Rollins."
-- James Reasoner, author of DUST DEVILS and TEXAS WIND

‎"Some books are just plain unbridled fun, others are edge of the seat gripping entertainment, some make you think, a few open your eyes, Sean Ellis is a magician, doing it all with a deftness that pulls you in and draws you along from page one breathlessly to the end of the book, offering mysteries galore, bad guys with the blackest hearts and a good old fashioned hero to kick their evil arses. I had a blast with Dark Trinity: Ascendant."
-- Steven Savile, author of the international bestseller, SILVER

"Sean Ellis delivers another high-octane romp, exploring mythical lost civilizations and alternative histories, with the unrelenting pace of your favorite summer blockbuster."
--Stel Pavlou, bestselling author of DECIPHER

"Sean Ellis never fails to deliver and his latest thriller has everything I look for in a book: monsters, guns, sex appeal and a touch of the supernatural. Mayhem and action abound in this page-turning adventure."
-- Jeremy Robinson, author of INSTINCT and THRESHOLD

"Sean Ellis delivers again with a globetrotting adventure replete with ancient mysteries, deadly enemies, and creatures out of legend. Dark Trinity is a thrill ride you'll never forget."

5.0 out of 5 stars Globe-Trotting Adventure July 11, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I love thrillers. I love adventure stories. I love action, ancient mysteries, main characters who can take care of business and throw in the occasional clever comment along with a deft hook or powerful roundhouse. In short, I love books like Dark Trinity. I had the privilege of reading an advance review copy of this book, and it hooked me from the start. Ellis has an engaging writing style, and the plot is well-paced. There's enough "real world" action for the contemporary thriller fan, and a measure of "ancient mystery and legend" for those of us who like a dash of Indiana Jones influence with our action and adventure. Following up on his Nick Kismet adventures, Sean Ellis delivers again with a globetrotting adventure replete with ancient mysteries, deadly enemies, and creatures out of legend. Dark Trinity is a thrill ride you'll never forget!

2.0 out of 5 stars starts out really great, but . . . December 8, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Bought this based on reading a sample. It starts out great. Kills off one character after developing him a little, which always annoys me. If I make the effort to get to know a character I want to spend some time with them. The heroine is developed with a certain set of qualities and tools in her bag, and within a few chapters she sort of forgets about these and they aren't really used anymore. Other characters turn out to be something they are not without any clue. Of course, I understand an author wants to misdirect in order to make some surprises and mystery. But in a good novel, you can look back and say oh, I see now where such and such should have clued me to the true nature. Villains are 1 dimensional cardboard cutouts. OK, it was a cheap novel and it did keep me interested. For a while. About 3/4 of the way through it got so crazy and repetitive that I really thought I would not have read it if I had not already gotten so far. I finished it, but there was no point. I should have put it down. The conclusion is not much to talk about. I think this author has potential. I might even try another book. But this is an immature effort that lacks consistency and satisfaction with the character development.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Trinity Lights It Up August 18, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you like fast-paced novels that taps the vein of Jeremy Robinson and Matthew Reilly, then pick up Dark Trinity: Ascendant by Sean Ellis. After the discovery of the tomb of the Atlantean king, Mira Raiden quickly embarks on a mission to find the Trinity, a most powerful device unlike anything the world has ever seen. In her quest, however, she battles dark factions who are also hunting the relic for nefarious purposes. There is action to keep you rapt throughout, characters you love to hate and love, and mysteries that unfold as the story progresses at a machine-gunfire pace. You won't be disappointed.
