great CD,

I love this album. I had not heard of Emily Jane White and I bought it on a whim after listening to a couple of samples.
It really grows on you and I love the raw acoustic music and the lyrics. Haven't got sick of it after playing it quite a few times! My favourite songs are Dark Undercoat and Dagger - love the guitar on this track especially. I will buy her other album based on this one.

I love this album. The first time I heard Emily Jane White was on a video on [...] which was a link to Blogotheque. I fell in love with her music immediately. Her voice sounds familiar but refreshing at the same time. She is a Bay Area local, this album was recorded in the North Bay. Sample it if you must, but this album is worth buying. I heard it at the Last Record Store, the song Bessie Smith literally wouldn't let my smile fade. Buy it, love it, don't sleep on it.

One of my favorite albums from 2009. If you like Cat Power and folk music, you must have a listen, and if you don't like Cat Power, you might still like her beautiful voice and melodies.
