THERE WAS NEVER A SEQUEL . . . . on a par with the "GREATS" of sci-fi
- Shoo-Shoo GET TO WORK ON BOOK 2!!!

an exciting and very enjoyable book. first read this as an olderperson and loved it. it crosses the age zones just like harry potter. have re-read it many times over the years. the premise of the book looks at health care of the future. food for thought! what will our health care system of the future be like?

A WONDERFUL BOOK I DISCOVERD IN MY LOCAL LIBRARY YEARS AGO AS A TEENAGER. HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT RE-READING IT . RE-READ IT MANY TIMES AFTER READING IT INITIALLY. I BELIEVE IT CROSSES ALL AGE ZONES, JUST LIKE THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS. VERY MOVING AND LOTS OF INTERACTION AMONG THE MAJOR PLAYERS. I ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY AND RECOMMEND IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!! HOW WILL OUR FUTURE SOCIETY REGARD HEALTH CARE?

I am also one who discovered this book at a young age, and have been unable to forget it. For some reason, as I lay awake tonight, memories of it came back. I'm 33 now and sure the book will be as good as it was when I was 11!

I came across this book also in school (middle school). I am now 19 and cannot put the book down. It is captivating and interesting and never dull. This is one of those books you're surprised to see anyone write a review for. Heck, I'm surprised *I'm* reviewing it. Not because it's bad, but because it's one of those books that become your greatest secret, guarded jealously for its value. You'd never lend it to a friend, because he'd get his fingerprints all over the pages, creases on the spine--why, even his breath would contaminate it. This is one of those books you keep in a safe so burglars won't steal it. This is one of those books you worship three times in the morning, twice in the afternoon, and four times in the evening. If it weren't so thick, you'd even frame it. As it is, you use it to ward off evil spirits because it's so holy.

There is something so magnetic about the tale that iron sticks to it. Those who never read this story about a youth learning the forbidden art of healing are to be pitied and patted consolingly on the shoulder. Because this is one of those books I'd praise until Judgement Day--except that my afternoon session of worship is due. Good-bye and *definitely* good reading.

I checked out a copy of "Dark Wing" from the public library over 10 years ago and, because I could not find a copy to buy, "lost" the library book and had to pay the fine. I treasure that book and am now looking for another copy. I am afraid that I will wear this one out. I hope that Amazon can help me find another. It suprises me that anyone else has even heard of this book!
