5.0 out of 5 stars Passionate and stirring!, July 7, 2003

Tina Luzis "Tina" (NYC, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dark Yet Lovely (Audio CD)
This is one of my favorite worship CDs. Heather has truly spent time cultivating her relationship with the Lord, and has a heart understanding of Jesus as our Bridegroom. Her meditation on the Song of Solomon has led to romantic, adoring songs pulled directly from Scripture that usher you into His throneroom.

Kiss me with the kisses of Your mouth is one of my favorite tracks. My spirit aches and throbs to see the Beauty of my King and I inevitably turn off the cd player and continue singing to Him as the Spirit leads me.

The music ranges from piano ballads to a rhythmic dance track to a smooth, saxophone laden love song. Throughout, I am immersed in the knowledge of Jesus' love for me, a love that was so strong that He laid down His life for me so that one day I would join Him in Heaven as His Bride. On the album's final track, you'll find yourself crying as you sing along to her plea "Place me like a seal on your heart." Heather's voice is a cross between Sarah MacLaughlin and Natalie Merchant, and she wholeheartedly pours out her soul to her Beloved.

Jesus loves us, pursues us, and desires us above all else. If you haven't come to a heart understanding of this, buy this album, meditate on the Scriptures it's drawn from, and let the love of the Lord wash over you as the healing Balm of Gilead.

Imagine if Sarah McLaughlin became a Christian (because only a true Christian could do it with this feeling) and did a praise and worship CD... This would be that CD!

So if you're a Christian and you like Sarah McLaughlin's style, you'll love Heather Clark!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, April 16, 2004

Heather Clark is truly gifted at showing people the Heart of God for his people. She is able to put into music and words..what people are feeling toward God and what God is feeling toward people. Jason Upton is the only other one I know of who does so...so very well.

This is one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard. It is taken almost completely from the ancient Hebrew the Song of Soloman. It is transporting!
