I must confess that I was a little disapointed by this book. It starts just fine, with some artifacs that can actually be constructed by players. Then comes a explanation about some of Azalin's artifacts, really cool. But after that there's a whole section about evil toys, and another section about evil clocks, that's ok, but many of them are really quite stupid. There's no such thing as the Apparatus or something as great. In the end some interesting things appear, but you are too busy wondering why there are so many evil clocks in Ravenloft, or why they would consider a magical shovel that allows you to dig graves in half the time a normal one would, an artifact powerful enough to be listed here. But it's a nice set of ideas for Dungeon Masters, especially Azalin's Black Vault.
