Darkstalkers Tribute is the second tribute volume, the first being the Street Fighter Tribute (SFT) -- which is awesome. This time round, it brought in over 2000 submissions, more than SFT's 1300!

This is a paperback without a dust jacket and there are 296 pages. The paper is slightly thinner than SFT but doesn't affect the art book in anyway. The colour reproduction is still brilliant.

With so many artists contributing, the variety of style is amazing, of course. Some of the styles included are manga, caricature, 3D, chibi, game art, vector and many others. There's even a very sexy sculpted model of Morrigan.

Not just style, some of the ideas and concepts are really fun. There are illustrations of Darkstalkers when they are old but still fighting, Baby Bonnie Hood with mecha enhancements, Transformers-style and other wacky stuff. Looks like everyone spent a lot of time on their work.

Every illustration is captioned with the artists and their websites, which opens up more avenues for exploration if you like the artist's work you see.

It's another great tribute, highly recommended to character designers, fantasy art and Darkstalkers lovers.

I wonder what tribute Udon will come up with next.

As a tremendous fan of the series, I highly recommend this book. Not just for fans, but even people who aren't familiar with the series or who just love horror and fantasy. I showed it to my family and they were absolutely blown away with the quality of the art in this book. I even inspired one of my cousins to seek out prints of all of the art pieces! She's become quite a fan of the series =]. Although I didn't purchase the soft cover (I have the hardback), and though it was about $60 more than this version, I can completely say that it was worth every single penny to own such a delightful book that is an ode to one of my favorite series and titles in all of media.

I love Darkstalkers and I was really excited to find the art book online. I tried quite a few book stores and comic book stores and either I could never find it or they were all damaged. This one was in perfect condition! :)

It is a good book, there is a lot of precious images, i recomended it, thanks to Amazon for all, good service ;)

You are not gonna believe how great this package is with this kind of price! Every piece of artwork is from different artist,300 piece of great work for [...] bucks! A must have for every darkstalker/artbook collector!

Great compilation of Artists work regarding the Darkstalkers line of characters. It has a extended variety of styles n works that give a fresh new face to characters that have been around for some time now. The book quality is beautiful, and each page is brilliantly finished to give more appeal to the art within. Many props to the Udon Crew for putting together a star studded cast to accomplish fine works on characters we know and love. Peace

I love this artbook!! In the Street Fighter Tribute, some artists have lost the spirit of the game but in this, they are really inspired! The illustrations are really excellent!

I won't bore you with a detailed review that will, well, bore you.....

instead, I'll tell you that the quality is superb, the artwork is second to none, and that this is one book you can't do without.

I couldn't recommend anything higher, I'm pleased with this book on nearly every level. I can't believe it only cost [...] for this, I would expect to pay
about 60 or more at a store or something.... The quality and quantity is just that good.

5 stars, supremely well done book. A must have for fans and non-fans alike.

Highly recommended!

I bought this book thinking that there would be more artists that I knew in this book. I only knew a few and so many were the anime artists, I didn't care for it. I would have preferred more main stream artists helping out with the chores.
