5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful and hilarious view of the Darkwing Duck world!, March 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Darkwing Duck - Justice Ducks Unite! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I first saw "Darkwing Duck" when I was eight or nine years old, and I was instantly hooked. How could any kid resist the delightful antics of Darkwing Duck (aka Drake Mallard) and his daughter Gosalyn, sidekick Lauchpad, and crazy villians like Megavolt, Quakerjack, Bushroot, the Liquidator, and of course the evil Negaduck. I only recently re-entered the world of St. Canard, and this video is the first video out of the four that I have gotten to see since. It contains the episodes of Darkwing Duck "Just Us Justice Ducks", parts 1 and 2. When Darkwing discovers that his worst enemies Quakerjack, Bushroot, Megavolt, and the Liquidator have banded together, he is mystified by their motives. The power company has been tampered with, the police station wiped out. It wasn't until Darkwing's evil twin Negaduck took out S.H.U.S.H. (the organization Darkwing works for that is so secrative, no one knows what the initials stand for) that Darkwing finds out that the quintet have joined together to become the Fearsome Five. Their goal? To take over the city of St. Canard! Darkwing's friends Morgana McCawber, Gizmoduck, Stegmutt, and Neptunia all come together in order to help . . . they are the Justice Ducks! But Darkwing doesn't want their help and leaves them behind. He'll handle this himself . . . at which he is promptly dispatched and taken out by the Fearsome Five. The Justice Ducks, not knowing where Darkwing has disappeared to, split up to try and stop the Five . . . but they are all quickly captured. It is only when Darkwing realizes that they must work together as a _team_ that he comes to his senses and gets to work, ready to rescue the Justice Ducks and, with their help, stop the Fearsome Five once and for all! This is a great video, with some of the best jokes of the series ("Put out the Darkwing! Put out the Darkwing!") It's a great film to watch when you just need to sit back, relax, and enjoy some humor. But this video also has a point . . . evil is best delt with when you have someone to help you. We all need each other. And this has to be the most amusing way to see this truth in action. Enjoy this Darkwing Duck video! Let's get dangerous!

5.0 out of 5 stars "Put out the Darkwing. Put out the Darkwing.", November 12, 2006

It's Darkwing Duck's biggest case yet. Negaduck, Quackerjack, Bushroot, Megavolt, and Liquidator team up to take over and terrorize St. Carnard. And only Darkwing can stop them.

Or can he? When Gizmoduck, Neptunia, Stegmutt, and Morgana all offer to help, he turns them down flat. Then he walks right into a trap. With Darkwing out of the way, the Fearsome Five think they can run the city at will, and begin taking extorting all the cash from the frightened citizens. But can the Justice Ducks fight back and save the day? Will Darkwing come around to working with others?

This video contains both parts of this two-part episode. It's one of my favorites from the series. I always love watching Darkwing's ego get the better of him. These are my favorite villains from the series as well, so I love watching them working together. Actually, this episode includes many of the main characters from the series, so it's great from that standpoint as well.

While the video is long out of print, both these episodes are included in the recently released DVD set of the show.

4.0 out of 5 stars Justice ducks review, July 31, 2001
This review is from: Darkwing Duck - Justice Ducks Unite! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video has most of the darkwing duck characters in and it has a good story to it. The story begins when Darkwing is going on a date with Morgana and she turns him into a Yak. The lights go out and it is quickly discovered that Megavolt has caused a blackout of the city. DW investigates and learns that Megavolt has teamed up with Quackerjack. Morgana accedently turns DW into pudding and the villains escape. On the other side of town Bushroot and the Liquidator are putting the police station out of the way. They get away and it turns out that they are working together as the Fearsome five. Negaduck has an evil plan that involves taking over the city and getting rid of St. Canards super hero. Will the Fearsome five win or will Darkwing realise that he needs to work as a team to defeat them? We see the best of Darkwing duck and Negaduck in this episode.
