I've owned a lot of nice socks from Smartwool, Icebreaker, Bridgedale, Patagonia, etc. and I have to say that I'm impressed with these ones. They are nice and soft, of course, but seem sturdier than some of the others. The Red ones also look a lot nicer in person than the photo suggests.

This is a warm sock that is not too thick. It is as warm as old socks I have that are twice as thick. If you want to walk around the house with these on, keep in mind that they probably will not stand up forever -- these are meant to be worn in a good shoe or boot.

I love the socks they are very comfortable and look good. I am using them for trail running so the dark color doesn't show the dirt. I ordered only one pair to see what these socks were like. I would definitely order additional socks however beware of the high price of shipping one pair of socks.
