I have diabetes and need a snug fitting sock. I also have athlete's foot. Merino wool breathes and wicks moisture away from the foot which is critical to cure athlete's foot (along with fungal cream). My podiatrist likes this sock. My foot size is 13 wide and I wear an XL sock. Darn Tough Merino Wool socks saved my feet.

I ordered three pairs of these socks prior to a week's hiking and camping in western North Carolina. I hiked at least 20 miles over rough ground, often in damp conditions, and my feet were as happy as if I were in slippers at home. Not so much as a blister. The wool is soft, the elastic firm and they're great-looking as well. As I retire lesser pairs of socks I will be replacing them with Darn Tough brand socks - they're worth every dime.

I've never written a review on anything I purchased from Amazon (and I purchase a lot), but I had to make an exception for this product.

I'm allergic to wool, it's always made me itch like crazy, but after taking a hunting course where they recommended wearing wool I thought I'd give it another try. These socks don't itch, feel great, and keep your feet nice and warm. Thanks for making such a great product!

These are the best socks i have ever owned. I wear them casually and with my waders. I ordered XL and wear men's U.S. size 11.5 EEE shoe. Perfect fit, perfect feel, perfect warmth.

I never leave reviews on the stuff I buy on Amazon and I but a lot, but I am compelled to review these socks. Also I should say that I am always skeptical of 5 star reviews, I usually skip all the 5s and 1s and read middle of the road reviews but I can't emphasize enough how much they deserve 5 stars. These socks are warm but not too warm. They never slide down my ankles but they aren't too tight. They are comfortable and wear great. Also, they don't ever seem to loose any of these qualities even after days of straight use. Needless to say socks are the last things I thought I'd review on here but these socks are simply outstanding. Well done Darn Tough.

Hubby says they are really warm. I bought these for a very cold first NFL game night. My feet were not as warm but his were good. Highly recommend.

Bought a pair for my husband for Christmas and he thinks they are the warmest, softest socks ever. That's quite an achievement since no other socks have been able to satisfactorily warm his frequently cold feet.

These socks are very high quality. My boyfriends toes are still cold everyday but I'm beginning to think that his cold toes are incurable because these socks are of amazingly high quality.

I've a bit of a problem with athlete's foot, and the only way I've found to deal with it is completely natural materials.

I've taken to wearing these socks under pure leather shoes. The wife laughs that I should wear such heavy woolen socks in summertime in Georgia, but let me tell you: The combination of wicking by the socks, and natural absorption by the leather shoes has my feet and toes the happiest they've been in years. Beyond that, walking the quarter mile from where I park my car to the front door of the plant has become a sort of fun exercise in realizing just how well a good pair of socks can make your feet feel.

These are the socks for me. I'll be buying loads more of them.
