The reason I think Darnell Rock Reporting is a fantastic fiction book for young readers. Darnell Rock is a cool kid who didn't get into many activities at school. That was until he got into the school newspaper. At first he didn't like it that much, but it turned out to be a great success. So you see, this is why I Darnell Rock Reporting. Why do oyu like it?

"Darnell Rock Reporting" was not as good as I thought it would be as it was one of Walter Dean Myer's books. I would think that the book would be better if the plot was longer and that it shows what he does after he makes a difference in his cul-de-sac/society/school. The cover could also be better if it showed him holding a reporter style writing pad with a pencil tucked behind his ear and him holding another pencil to represent that he is writing for the school paper. But the good thing about him is that he is kind and he writes about things other people don't really notice normally.

This book is a fun and funny book. There was African American Langauge {AAL} in the story. There was lots of charecters that ends up being connected. Darnell is a want to be bully, to the younger kids. I Holla!

Darnell rock is a wonderful book for all people It is interesting the Dean Myers is a fabules book writer.Thebook starts off when Darnell and his sister Tamika went to school.Darnell was inprested by a girl named Paula snow.So he joined the school newspaper so paula would like him then he ended up interveiwing a homless man nameds sweeby jones then he started to like his job.Close to the end of the story kim beat him at the story contest but Darnell did not worry he took it like a man.

I really love this book.the only funny part was when they talked about
Sweeby,Tony O, Tamika andDarnell. It was fantastic.I also like the part
when Sweeby was around a fire. What if he was sitting on a bench
and fell off. That's why I love the book.

I called my review Ghetto Rock because TAMIKA she was like you goin to jail to Sweeby. And she just be wild. And don't let me forget sweeby jones I still wonder if he's the man who shopliffted . + I read this book a long long long long long long long long long long time ago. Darnell is A devel & an angel .
