The perfect map of Dartmoor,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dartmoor (Explorer Map Active) (Paperback)
This map of Dartmoor is perfect, feels weatherproof too. And I used my highlighter successfully on it. It came highly recommended by friends who had used it before. Anxious to put it to the test. My only wish is for a listing of places like an index on the side, but it would take up much space I fear. This product arrived from UK in record time as well.

The OS maps are very good maps and for somewhere like Dartmoor when your probably not following main roads the explorer maps (1:25,000 range) is a lot more detailed than the landranger maps (1:50,000 scale) So you can pick every little stream and wall so as long as you can read them they are lot more easier to pinpoint your exact position at lot better. Even if you are following a book this map is also good if you want see what other places you can see are which might not be showning on your guide book. Or if you want to take a short cut from your guide book or explore somewhere else slightl of a guide book this will give you enough detail and information to do that. My map has lasted for ages and if you can get a laminated one it's even better for keeping dry or if your like me dropping things in bogs.To sum up probably the best type of map there and Dartmoor is amazing to see with lots of nice and intresting places to explore |
