Die Prinzen sind echt cool!,

Unlike many pop groups today, Die Prinzen can actually SING! And the songs are all upbeat and fun to listen to. My favorites are "Mein Bester Freund" and "Gabi und Klaus". Even if you don't speak German, you'll love listening to this C.D.

Die Prunzen- An excellent way to learn german!,

Die prunzen is a Harmonic (with no insturments, except drums) GERMAN group. The lyrics are somewhat cheesy, but there is no doubt that their excellent promunciation and clear voices make this CD a fun way to learn basic german. The lyrics are clever, and they are always easy to understand. This ablum is has teh most basic german lyrics, and is great for beginners, especially because the words are so clear. All in all, a Great way to have fun while learning German!

I prefer the acapella version of this CD though. Most Prinzen CDs are also available in acapella versions (voice only, no instruments) which are wonderfull!! . This lets you really hear and enjoy their great voices. Very talented group of former choir boys from Eastern Germany. One of my favorite songs is "Mein Fahrrad", where Sebastian tells us how much more fun it is to have a bike compared to a wife... Simple, funny texts. Clever play on words. It helps if you understand German but not necessary to enjoy this CD.

I was introduced to Die Prinzen when our son returned from being an exchange student in Germany. I've been hooked ever since. The crisp harmonies and snappy melodies make Die Prinzen a pleasure to hear, even for non-German speakers. The subject matter of the tunes - bicycles for example - makes them all the more interesting.

This is an awesome album!! I can't stop listening to it. Sebastian Krumbiegel's voice is amazingly clear, which makes this fun to listen to even if you don't know German. But if you do know German, it's even better because they have really interesting lyrics. The music is a-cappella, with some drums beating in the back, and somewhat like old-school rock. You'll have so much fun with this CD...don't hesitate to buy it!

Die Prinzen is wonderful!,

Where do I start about this wonderful music group!? I became hooked when we began to learn songs in Deutsch class. I love their excellent harmonies and interesting lyrics. Sometimes they may be controversial, but I still love their music. They make a few references a bout homosexuality, but Queer Eye is a very popular show, because of homosexuality. Do not let this deter you from buy ing any of their CDs, they are all excellent!

First and Best album by Die Prinzen,

This is the group's earliest available album, and I consider it their best. They have a lot of talent and exceptional wit. If you like the humor of artists like Weird Al Yankovic, you will love this group. It gives learners of German an excellent insight into German idioms and play on words. You also learn to laugh and not take them too seriously. It is a fun album.

Die Prinzen is a great group whose acapella CDs are the best. Their voices make it sound like backgroung instrumental musik, it is really cool. They are very easy to understand, even with only a minimal amount of deutsch. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially beginners.

I now have...13 CD's by die Prinzen (all the albums - Das Leben ist grausam, Kuessen Verboten, Alles nur geklaut, Schweine, Alles mit 'm Mund, Ganz Oben - and seven singles), but I would definitely say that this one is IT. I love all the other one's, but this is the debut and it's the true, unchanged style they started out with. It changed over the years, but tomorrow (5/10/99)the seventh album "So viel Spass fuer wenig Geld" will appear, and it goes back to the way die Prinzen used to sound...somewhat at least... I do recommend all the other ones, but this one is a must-have. If you liked Sebastian's voice, you should try to find "Kamma mache nix", which is his solo-debut. It sounds different than die Prinzen would, but it is extremely good.
