From the Author

I am sure you are wondering, 'what's with the; 'this is book II of a trilogy'...well let me explain. Book I, Deception about Margaret's father Ian and his WWII espionage exploits, and the impossible stranger than fiction, real exploits of the double agents of the UK during the war.  All will be explained about Margaret's mother, Elsbet Van Rippenhof, a Nazi propagandist.  When a lot of readers asked, why is Ian the way he is, and what happened to the gold, I knew I'd have to write Ian's story as well as Margaret's, hence Book II came before Book I.  Please forgive, gentle readers.  The baby that's mentioned at the end of Book II will have his own story complete with a mystery in book III. Will he (or maybe she) find the gold?  As they used to say: Stay tuned to this station and find out what happens during our next exciting episode of Das Medallion (The Locket) trilogy.

Even when the truth looks to be painful, it cannot be ignored. "Das Medallion" tells the tale of Margaret Richardson, a woman looking back into her past, a past with strong ties to Nazi Germany. Unknowing of even her truth birth date, she travels to what she believes to be her homeland in order to find what really brought her into this world and the truth she finds may be hurtful. "Das Medallion" is a choice pick for literary fiction readers, recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, in fact couldn't out it down! The story is suspenseful and rich with details to help you put yourself right in the moment. The characters are interesting and it is easy to put a face and voice with them . A little suspense and intrigue, a little romance, a little history. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Kathryn Scarborough portrays with intensity the determination and courage of Margaret Richardson in her pursuit to find truth. The characters are well developed and the plot's many twists and turns made for an exciting and quick read. I hope that there is another book coming soon.
