When you mix bagpipe sounding synths (maybe they are real), and metal, and new-wave techno, it comes out an very interesting mix. I was a little weary after reading descriptions since I have typically been a "metal" guy, but this album has been played countless times. Definitely one of my top 50 albums.... (I own a lot of CD's). Give this a chance, there are some great songs here. NOT a techno album, just a brilliant album. This stands on its own.

When Industrial music meet Traditionnal celtic music, it can be awful, or it can be powerful. Saltatio Mortis made the perfect combo, it is simply amazing. Sounds good from the 1st note to the last one.The sound of electronic music of keyboards with middle-aged strings, with Saltatio, anytime!

Mittelalterrock band Saltatio Mortis whips up a potent blend of medieval and modern sounds in this terrific album. My favorite tracks are Junges Blut and Licht und Schatten.
