With 2014 almost here, I’ve been looking for diet options as my resolution is to lose 20 pounds. I wanted a real diet not one someone just made up to sell a book or pill.

I take medication for my high blood pressure so I can’t take most of the diet pills being sold plus I wanted a plan not a pill. This book was written for people like me who have high blood pressure and that was probably the top reason I bought this book.

I liked this book a lot as it isn’t a crash diet but an actual plan and strategy for consistently losing weight and keeping it off. It was developed by medical professionals and that was a huge plus point for me.

I liked the information about knowing what carbs are good and which ones are not.

I walk my dog daily so I feel that I at least have the exercise portion at least started as I do exercise somewhat.
The problem has been the 20 pounds that I feel I could do without.

My daughter doesn’t have high blood pressure but she really liked the concept of the diet and so she’s going to start this diet with me next week.

Thank you to the authors for writing a diet book that offers sensible advice and a great plan.

The Dash Diet is a book that works. My new year's resolution was to lose weight and keep it off. I figured I should do some research on it and find a diet that works to my needs. I found that the Dash Diet is great for people who have The author writes in a very easy to understand and straight forward manner. I don't feel like I'm being talked down to but rather feel like I'm being taught in a helping way.

The book helped me understand what I needed to do in order to lose weight. It also contained some really easy and tasty recipes for me to start me on my way. I especially liked the curry chicken, and making was painless even though I have no experience in the kitchen. I recommend this book if you're looking into losing weight and worried about your health. The book is a wonderful starting point to get you focused on your weight loss. I've already implement a few of the changes in my own life and I've been feeling great and losing a bit of my pudgy-ness. Pick up this book!

The Dash Diet caught me by surprise. It is an intrepid solution for the idea of good health. It does not just tell you to exercise and eat well, it talks about it in a real world manner. Many times you get books that talk over your head or try to reinvent the wheel. That is not what this does, it takes the essence of life and it brings it to you in a realistic way. You don’t need to be a chef or a personal trainer to lose weight with this diet, and to call it such is not even the truth.

Yes, it’s called The Dash Diet, but it’s more of a lifestyle changer. I found it to be easy to read, and helpful. It focuses on eating well, exercising within your means, and learning about how to eat, when to eat, and why it’s important to focus on certain foods. It’s not a crash course, it’s something that is meant to transcend the quick fixes that are out there. It’s truly a blessing, and well worth look at. If you’ve tried others, test this out, and you will find that life can be so much better, when lived in a whole new way. I recommend this one for sure.

The text is excellent. But the charts are very bad on the Kindle. You can't zoom in and it is way to light to read any way. Save your pride and buy the paper one. Never buy a book for Kindle which has grafts, charts or pictures in it cause it is useless for that.

Thought this would be a book explain the Dash Diet and ways to start eating correctly. While this book was very good in explaining what the Dash Diet is and why it was developed it had no recipes or anything like that to help you start on the Diet. Book just referred you to some*.org websites.
