Great subject, good information, bad translation
Salvador Mafe Huertas is known for his work covering the Argentenian side of the air war of the Falklands War. This book not only covers the use of the Mirage in that conflict but also several chapters on the Mirage in Israeli service. Unfortunately, Schiffer pushed this book out before they were done editing it. There are several points where I had to read a sentence...

Needs better editors
A very hard book to read, primarily due to the way the text was edited. While the grammer may be correct, the way it was edited / translated makes it a chore to read. Also a good part of the book was devoted to the isreali use of the Mirage III series during the arab - isreali wars rather than development of the mirage from III to 2000. Arab - isreali air wars are better...

This review is from: Dassault Mirage: The Combat Log (Hardcover)
Salvador Mafe Huertas is known for his work covering the Argentenian side of the air war of the Falklands War. This book not only covers the use of the Mirage in that conflict but also several chapters on the Mirage in Israeli service. Unfortunately, Schiffer pushed this book out before they were done editing it. There are several points where I had to read a sentence several times before I could figure out what it meant. Evidently, I wasn't alone. On page 32, there is a note from the editor (shamefully left in the final product) saying "This sentence is unclear, please clarify". It takes work to get through this book, although the information contained on Israeli and Argentinian operations is good (other countries get a single chapter with little text). Other publishers have turned out wonderful translated/edited examples of this author's work, why not Schiffer?

Also a good part of the book was devoted to the isreali use of the Mirage III series during the arab - isreali wars rather than development of the mirage from III to 2000. Arab - isreali air wars are better covered by other books, as such this book does not add much new information.
If not for the extensive photos this would not have been worth the price.
