Bad experience with this cable,

I bought this cable hoping for a reasonably priced alternative to the outrageously priced Apple cable. This cable worked fine to charge my iPod when plugged into an inexpensive 110V USB charger. But I had major difficulties when I tried using it as a synch cable. I had frequent USB lock-ups with this cable plugged in to my laptop (i.e. mouse and keyboard freezing). And when I foolishly tried to update the software on my son's iPod over this cable it trashed the iPod firmware, requiring a full reset of the pod and reload of all music. Given the very low price I guess I shouldn't complain too much, but it went into the trash shortly after it arrived.

Purchased this item, was thrilled that it was so inexpensive.
Cable got here, I take it out of the package, it's too short to use with my Windows XP desktop PC, unless I want my iPod Nano sitting on the floor under and slightly behind my desk. It does work, but I've got a longer, better cable for that same purpose. But that's ok, we bought it as a second cable so that my husband can use it with his Apple iBook, and his Mac OS formatted iPod Video. So he plugged the cable into his iPod, and into every different USB port on his iBook... nothing happens. This cable is not compatable with Macs! If you're not a Windows user don't bother, it won't work for you! I had to get a refund for mine, the seller was nice enough to give a refund without my having to even send the cable back, since I suppose it would have ended up costing them more to reimburse me for shipping it BACK to them than it did to just give me my money back. The product page needs to specify that this is a Windows-only compatable cable. Although if I hadn't experienced it myself, I probably wouldn't have believed it, that a CABLE can work with one OS but not another.

Doesnt work,
By Chuck "Chuck" (Ohio) - See all my reviews

I ordered this and it didnt work as the description said it would. I contacted the company and let them know about it not working. They PROMPTLY sent me out a replacement.
The new one didnt work either. Rather than bother the company with another claim, I just chose to eat the cost since it was only about [...] total. The companys customer service treats its customers very good, at least they did me and this incident. I will most likely buy from them again based on the customer service, just not one of these cables. They state it will work with an iPod Touch as a charging/syncing cable, but it didnt work with mine.
