The PDA Playground launcher turns your handheld into a child-friendly zone. Once you enter the PDA Playground, your child can open and navigate the six games that are included, as well as any other applications you have chosen to add to the PDA Playground. However, PDA Playground requires a password to exit the application, ensuring that the rest of your handheld data stays safe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let your kids play on your pda without worries, March 23, 2009
This review is from: PDA Playground V1.0 (CD-ROM)
This is a terrific product. I've had it on my PDA's since I can't remember when. It's actually the exact same program as Kidzone, so if you have that, you don't need this. I inadvertantly bought PDA Playground thinking is was more child-friendly software for my kids; but it's the same thing, games and all.

I'm sometimes unexpectedly stuck in a situation when my kids are restless and bored. This is the solution I was looking for. My PDA is always with me and I just pull it out.

PDA Playground comes with 6 games:
- Draw: freehand drawing
- Paint: a coloring book
- ScratchOff: scratch off the pattern to see what lies underneath
- Match: match pairs of cards
- PuzzlePath: move puzzle pieces to form a path for the little man so he can eat all the apples. Beware of the troll.
- FollowMe: a Simple Simon type game.

Many of these games can be played by toddlers too young for a Leapster or Nintendo DS. My daughter could play it when she was only 2 years old.

The best thing about PDA Playground is that it locks out the rest of the PDA so that my schedule and other important information cannot be altered. To exit, enter the password you chose when you first install the software.

You may choose, in the preference section of the PDA Playground, to allow the child access to other programs on the PDA. I have allowed my children to access the media player and other games I have downloaded.

I love PDA Playground. If you own and PDA and are a parent of young children, I highly recommend this. It's worth the money.

I go on the city bus a lot with my daughter who is almost 4. She loves the different games on it, especially "Scratch Off". It keeps her busy for long lengths of time and we've even made a few "games" of our own on the system. We time each other while playing "Scratch Off" and after three seconds, we stop scratching away and try to guess what the picture is. It's lots of fun. I even steal away a few minutes of playing with the Puzzle game and Repeat Me game. I recommend this product to anyone with a child under the age of 7/8 because most kids older than that get tired of it quickly.
