About the Author

Rob Walters has worked with SQL Server for the past 10 years. He is the lead author of Accelerated SQL Server 2008 (Apress) and co-author of Programming SQL Server 2005 (Microsoft Press) and Pro SQL Server 2005 (Apress), among other books. Rob holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from Seattle University. Over the past decade, Rob has held various positions within Microsoft, including program manager for database security. He currently resides in the Boston area.
