5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent intro to relational databases and OO design, July 6, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Objects and Databases (Mcgraw-Hill International Series in Software Engineering) (Paperback)
The book first introduces the ideas of relational database technology (first 75 pages), then goes on to the concepts of OO programming (another 75 pages), including comparisons of relational and oo, intro to lisp, smalltalk, etc. Section 3+4 present case studies (design and implementation of an oo database)

Kroha's writing is clear and easy to follow. It's a valuable book, because it presents oo in the context of relational db systems, which is the background many systems analysts and programmers have.
