Best thing out of Norway since "A-Ha",

Is this this best thing ever? No. Is it a lot of fun and worthy of more than the 3.5 stars that Amazon is showing for it right now? Absolutely! You can listen to this album all the way through and receive a consistent level of fun songs that manage all not to sound too much like one another, while all being of the same genre. Highlights for me include "Computer Camp Love" (any song that mentions the Commodore 64 is going to get big points from me), "Princess" (The five-note "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" theme is inserted as a motif in the background), and "Bulldozer" gets the album off to a bang with the refrain "BMX! Better than sex!". Other tracks like Fa-Fa-Fa and Laurie are great as well.

I first heard Datarock (Fa Fa Fa)on the XM Radio Indie station (43). I instantly fell in love with the song. I immediately purchased the CD and absolutely love it. They are a lot of fun to listen to. I highly recommend to those who like alternative rock with a fun beat.

They traveled a long way from Bergen to LA and were great live at the Troubador so I bought this CD. this is a lot of fun to listen to, Princess and a couple other songs are classics. At the time a couple local radio stations overplayed FAFAFA. Couple songs are self indulgent, but easy to get past that. A timeless classic. Worth owning this CD. This is much better than their 2nd CD.
