the cord on this (which winds inside the unit itself, which is handy) is HALF the length of the other two non-car adapters we have (I compared them--"half" is exact, not a guess).

My son can't plug it into the cigarette lighter on the cash and have it reach into the backseat.

And my car isn't new and hip enough to have a lighter socket in the back.

So we can use it to recharge, but not to play. I'm sort of bummed
