I have not bought this because I found that it will only work with the Wii firmware version 3.2 and below(the current version being 3.4 at the time of this review). Datel even quit making this and has not tried to make an updated version to compensate for the firmware updates. I was considering this as a solution to get Tatsunoko vs. Capcom working on my US Wii but after doing lots of research this is what I discovered. Right now I'm considering another solution that involves a hack called "The Homebrew Channel" and an application for that hack called "Gecko OS" to use for a freeloader.

It is no compatible with Naruto EX, however, it is compatible with Naruto EX 2. Don't forget, once you use the freeloader, use it will ALL games, not just imports.

My son has enjoyed using this product to play Japanese games on his Wii. He has had a lot of fun with the one game he has and is looking forward to getting more for Christmas. He really gets a kick out of playing games not to be released in the US for ages!

I done everything that instruction told me to do and still doesn't work on imported games.

I bought this for my daughter. It won't even load. I do not recommend buying this piece of junk. It was a waste of money.

Freeloader states that they only work with certain firmware builds and below. Unfortunately, this is not in big bold letters and somehow I missed it. Thirty-five dollars down the drain! They should offer support to their customers should they come up with an algorithm to work with versions above 3.2. Can I get my money back?

at first I thought it did not work this was because I have the 3.8 software, I did my research on the web and found out that I needed to downgrade to get this free loader to work it is a bit complicated to do the process but I went through with it and was glad I did once the downgrade was complete the freeloader works perfectly! play all my import games on it(you are not able to without freeloader because games have to be from your region) just remember you have to have 3.2 or earlier software look on the web to find out how to check it.

this item is the best end all solution for playing import games on the nintendo wii without having to hack your system. BUT!!!! your firmware must be 3.2 or lower in order for the freeloader to work. i love playing Tatsunoko vs. Capcom with this!

Although the Wii Freeloader works differently than the one for Gamecube in terms of how it loads on the screen, I was relieved that it worked for the game I bought to play with it even though there is a relatively short list of games that do not work with the freeloader (Source: Wikipedia). It even played an import gamecube game I had when I still played with the gamecube. Even though the Gamecube Freeloader states that it works on the Wii for gamecube games, I still keep getting the error message (Based on how it worked for me). It would have been a waste if I could not play with the import gamecube game anymore. Fortunately, the Wii Freeloader solved that problem and added a great Wii game for my collection. Also, I was worried about Wii firmware 3.3, which blocks the Freeloader. I do not know if that is something included with Wii that came out in stores when Wii firmware 3.3 was out or something you can update on the Wii by yourself. When I got the Wii, I started playing games and barely messed with it in terms of updating it.
