It's the best thing ever! When I get a new code, I enter it and use it immediately. This was definitely worth the money.

i know a lot of people have moved on to all the newer system, but not me.......i still play my ps2 system, and i recently order this product and find it very worth it. there's a lot of cheat code for most games, but your games will crash if you overload too many code. overall, it was a good product. unlimited health!

The device is quite useful for Ps2 games if your still playing the Ps2. Works just great, worth picking up even if the Ps2 era is over.

I bought this for a quick way to play back through my Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts games that I'd already beaten, and it helped immensely. I would strongly suggest this, but personally only think they should be used after you've beaten a game (where's the fun in starting a new game with the ARMax).

Is a really great product. It lets you add codes manually and it lets you update the codes automatically if you have an internet connection. I really recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a product similar to this.

The AR Max performs as expected, but it has some severe limitations to it's effectiveness.

The first problem is the loading time. It takes a long time. Then you have to wait again for the codes to load. I used a gameshark previously and didn't have to wait very long at all.

The second issue is that the codes are very limited. The people creating codes for the company produce a few very basic codes and that's that. If you want to add codes, it's likely you will need to look up codebreaker codes and convert them using software on your PC.

The codebreaker is superior product. It seems that is costs about $10 to $20 more (used as neither product seems to be available 'new') than the AR MAX though. It would have been worth it to me as I spent the money to purchase one anyway.

I don't know what all the complaining is about, i had mixed feelings on getting this due to the half-half reviews. Seems to me just dont' do the auto internet update deal. Its got most of the games I want pre-loaded on it anyway. I pop it in, select my game, and it loads just fine to saved games or new games, no problems with any corrupted data. And so far my record is 62 codes at once for a single game, so its not like if you activate more than 2 it'll lock up. Now with all cheat devices, there's the glitch like if you fall and are supposed to die but you have infinite health, then you're kind of stuck, thats not on the product thats just the nature of the beast. Especially for the price....if you want your no random battles on final fantasy (plus max hp/lvl/etc) or infinite ammo on call of duty, or any somesuch. This is your device.

I am a liitle bit afraid when purchasing this Action Replay Max (AR Max)that might not work on my slim PS2. But, hey it works !! :)AR Max works with my slim PS2 model #SCPH 7001. Please note that the usage of this CD might lead to corrupt your memory cards. Back up your saves games in other memory cards before using it.

One notice is that do NOT take so many cheat codes from the AR Max as it might lead the game freezes; just use between 2 to 3 codes from the AR Max for each game.

If you get confused how to use it, browse from youtube & search the video how to use it. I did that before I bought this. So glad I did my research before purchasing it.

This will work on your ps2 slim line. I have a silver slim line(scph-79001) and it works fine. Just make sure to buy new, so you are sure to get the newer version and that makes it a guarantee to work. Older versions are probably used and will not work on your ps2. Will not work on PS3.

Alright, so when I popped the game in I was worried it wouldn't work cause a lot of people told me it doesn't work on the slim PS2. But hey, it worked and it's done wonders. Only sucky thing is some of the cheat codes don't work like you want them too (I.E. Dragon Quest VIII the quick lvl up gets you up to lvl 50 give or take a few lvls and then quits out and set you up to lvl 99, you can't finish your skill allocation, same for your other characters too, lvl 99 no skill allocations, it disappointed me) Otherwise it works great!
