It is a motion detector, night light and emergency flash light that is great for home entry points like garage, foyer and also bathrooms, hallways where you might go at night. Night light and motion detector work independently of each other - you can use it as motion detector light and/or night light. LED intensity is fairly reasonable and consumes low electricity. Highly recommended, makes a good gift, in fact I bought several. As of now, December 2007, you can buy it cheaper for $17.60 at Buy.com

I bought 2 of these about 6 months ago - 2 weeks ago I had a power outage - whole neighborhood. Complete blackness. Neither of these came on - they had been working previously (plugged in). I wrote the company - turns out it's one guy. He gave no reason. I just don't think it's a quality product - when they don't work and light the way. I have a baby and she was taking a bath and I had to get her out in the dark and then fumble around for flashlights. I will be another brand next time.

I purchased three of these units. Two work great, but on one unit, one of the three LEDs failed immediately and about a month later the second LED started flashing continuously (very annoying). I have e-mailed the company for replacement, but from a previous review I understand they make you pay for shipping both ways on a failed unit. I won't buy from a company that makes you pay for their bad product.

Works great. As advertised. Would love it if it had a plug so you would not not take up an outlet, but that is the only complaint. Bright nightlight..Comes on automatically and great with children. Will buy another one!

When this was first bought/installed it worked perfectly. However, after a few months the device would not light until after it was walked past versus previously detecting motion before the device was reached. The idea was to illuminate the hall before completely walking down it. This device no longer does that. I will look for a different brand or/and device.

I bought this light as I wanted a night light to come on automatically with motion, but one that wouldn't come on if it was light outside and, at least initially, this worked perfectly. After about 3 months the motion sensor stopped working and the night light just stays on. I was quite disappointed it as this is a pretty expensive light. Though it's under warranty, I'd have to pay for shipping both ways so I think I'll purchase another brand rather than go thru the inconvenience and cost of sending it in for repair.

When a product performs as advertised(effortlessly) it usually gets 5 Stars from me. This is no exception! I bought 8 and gave 5 of them as Stocking Stuffers. The number of appreciative telephone calls was rewarding. A happy wife is a big plus, too and I'm sure we'll be ordering more.

This is perfect in our upstairs bathroom. With the door open it lights the hall and stairs very well.

I own five of these outstanding night lights. The flashlight feature is very good to have in any emergency. The motion detector is invaluable at night...no need to turn on regular lights these show the way. The constant charging enables you to get through minor power outages with ample light. Highly recommend this product.

Excelent product, took me a while to choose between so many similar products offered, but this was definately a great buy, the lights are really bright, you don't need to turn off the lamps on our night visits to the bathroom, the night sensor is good enough not to go off when there's still some light from outside, the motion sensor function is flawless. For this price this is an excelent buy. Bought two for now, one for the living and one for the master bedroom, and I'd like to get a couple more for the second bathroom and maybe one for the kitchen. Excelent flashlight also!!!
