Book Description

Camille is too busy with her new job to worry about a relationship. But a girl still has needs. A cab ride and a storm put her face to face with the perfect solution. Ethan is sexy, funny, and looking for the same thing she is - a good time. Smoking hot sex in their homes, a restaurant bathroom, a changing room and almost a public park are wonderful. But as the pair get to know each other better in and out of bed, real feelings develop and things are suddenly a lot more than just fun and games.

* Contemporary erotic romance *
Novella: 22,000+ words, approximately 80 pages

Their eyes met in the dark and Camille shuddered. The tight control she’d been struggling to keep on her libido evaporated. She crushed her lips to his, firm and hungry. Ethan froze for a moment then came alive. His mouth captured hers and his hands held her shoulders tightly.

Camille felt every nerve ending in her body singing out from Ethan’s devouring kiss. His hands tangled in her wet hair, tugging her closer. She moaned into his mouth and grabbed the front of his shirt in her hands.

After a breathless while he pulled away. “Jesus, Camille.”

Still panting, she remembered they were in a cab, surrounded by other cars. The arousal that had flowed through her body washed away in a wave of embarrassment. “I didn’t mean to–”

Ethan grasped her hands. “You did. And so did I."

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow Start But Great Once It Got Going September 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This wasn't a bad book despite some of the complaints I had. In fact, I really liked it a lot. I didn't think I would though because the first 5 chapters were pretty average. Nothing "wow"ed me and I thought it might turn out to be a 3* or 2* read. But chapter 6 and on was great and I'm glad I stuck with it. One thing is for certain, a strong suspension of disbelief is required. Almost everything that happens in this story is just way too convenient.

Characters were pretty good, pacing and story is great and was nice to see other aspects to it besides just sex and everyone thinking about sex. I felt the balance between the erotic storyline and the contemporary romance was perfect. For that reason, I'm interested in trying more books from this author. A couple of the complaints I had were a lack of Ethan's POV. It's written in 3rd person but from Camille's side for the whole novella. I would have loved to know what Ethan was thinking and feeling and am quite disappointed. To a lesser extent, I also had problems with the lack of a HEA (only a HFN) and the plethora of spelling errors such as...

"You damn game started it a cab, Ethan--" (p.70)

Spelling mistakes such as this one just left me with a dumbfounded look on my face most of the time. Whoever the author hired to read her books before they go "live" needs to be fired. This is an example of just one of the many, many, many mistakes too. O_o All that aside, I truly enjoyed this novella and would happily read it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot, but predictable January 2, 2012

I read this novella in a couple of hours time (it was longer than I suspected it would be).

I enjoyed the characters. Camille is strong and knows what she wants, and at times 'goes for it'. She's a total workaholic (attorney), and has to deal with a total 'B' that competes with her for everything - you totally hate that coworker (a genius piece of writing from this author!).

Ethan...well, you aren't given much background on him at all. You know he's rich, either owns or manages a large company, and he's dedicated to not having a real relationship. Something that Camille agrees with, at the time.

I will try not to give any spoilers away, but I kept expecting Ethan to turn out to be a client of Camille's firm, or one of her bosses, or something like that. I think it could have been a little better to throw in an actual obsticle for them to overcome, instead of just stubbornness!

Overall, the book is very hot. Besides Camille's work-life, they spend all their time together in bed (very detailed erotic scenes). I definitely could fall for a guy like Ethan.

Editting: 6/10 Needs work! Letters left out of words (that if you did not know where author was going, it'd be laughable!). Erotic: 10/10! Character development: 8/10.
