This book will change the way you date!,
By Dreaming of the ocean (St. Paul, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dating, Inc.: Recruit, Select, and Retain the Right Man for the Relationship (Paperback)
As someone without a business background, I was hesitant to read this book after a friend recommended it. I am so glad that I began reading, because once I started, I couldn't put it down! Even though I am not a business woman, I really felt like the authors were right there with me, talking me through their "business model" dating plan. This book is so practical and easy to use, and I appreciated all the great questions they ask as you move through the book. The authors take you from writing a mission statement and defining your goals and objectives, creating an action plan, and learning how to have a terrific, long-term relationship with the great partner you find. I love that they include a chapter on creating a healthy, loving marriage. There are so many words of wisdom in this book, and I can already see how this book is having a positive influence on my life!

Practical and Clever,
By Sandy (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dating, Inc.: Recruit, Select, and Retain the Right Man for the Relationship (Paperback)
This book is unlike anything out there that I'm aware of. Think of how hard we all work at our jobs, and how our best results at the workplace come from smart planning, prioritizing, organization, and effort. Why not use the same approach in our love lives? This is the essence of Dating, Inc., and it is done in an organized but FUN way. The authors (male and female) help you think through what matters to you in a potential relationship, and they do it largely in the form of written exercises and very clever concepts & catchphrases. Who would have thought developing an action plan could be so much fun? The book is so smart and should definitely help anyone out there find who they're looking for.

If you are in a dating rut, I highly recommend this book! I love that it's written by a married couple so you get both a man's and a woman's perspective. And the written exercises throughout the book are both fun and thought provoking. They forced me to answer some tough questions and focus on what is really important to me. Overall a helpful and creative guide to dating!

Finally.. An honest approach to dating!,
By Book Lover "Dee" (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dating, Inc.: Recruit, Select, and Retain the Right Man for the Relationship (Paperback)
Dating Inc. is definitely one of the the most honest and realistic dating advice books out there. And it's written by a man and a woman, so it's not one sided. The best part for me was how it forced me to really examine my situation and ask myself some hard questions.
There's a section in chapter 2 that asks you to make a list of your must haves, nice to haves, and who cares in a potential date. Not only did I fill it out, but I kept a copy of that with me as a silent reminder not to waste my time on the wrong guys. Once I was able to narrow down the type of guy that I really wanted to meet, I found him. And we've been together ever since!

Dating, Inc. was an easy read with smart and practical advice that I could put into use right away. Instead of feeling hopeless in the dating world, I feel like I have a fresh outlook that I know will help me find the 'one'. I love the 'cut to the chase' and 'can do' attitude in the Corporate Memo's - they are both realistic and inspiring and I find myself going back to them time and time again.

Jeff and Carol's Dating Inc. is perfect for any woman who's passionate about winning in business and in love. As a fellow author Make Every Man Want You (or Make Yours Want You More): How To Be So Damn Irresistible You'll Barely Keep From Dating Yourself!, I love seeing what else is out there so I can make solid recommendations and support people in having the life and relationships of their dreams.
What I like about Dating, Inc. is that it's based in respect, honesty and fun. They're completely against manipulation and game playing (which never works long-term in business or love) and encourage women to bring authentic compassion and straight-forward common sense to both the boardroom and the bedroom. This book also gives women permission to take an enthusiastic go-getter attitude when it comes to dating and relationships, just like we do in business. Great work Jeff and Carol!

Dating, Inc. is a fresh new approach to dating for the single, successful professional woman. This book is all about how to use the skills that help you be so successful at work to be more successful in the quest for Mr. Right. Authors Jeff and Carol Cohen lay out a thoughtful, practical approach in a conversational style that hits the mark. This is a great book for you or a great little gift for a friend. Enjoy!

Extremely boring,
By DanaS "DanaS" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dating, Inc.: Recruit, Select, and Retain the Right Man for the Relationship (Paperback)
This book gets a couple of things right... Dating IS like a job interview, and it helps to go for volume. However, I just couldn't bring myself to really plow through all of this. The authors met through a co-worker/friend (really, the preferred way). Not sure how all their dating exploits ever amounted to much except keeping them sexually occupied and egos intact until the right co-worker/friend introduced them. I also hazard to guess that their "marriage" is pretty transactional (like work) and it will shrivel up and die as soon as things become inconvenient for one or the other... Kinda like one's job. I wonder if they will give their spouse a "two week notice" when they don't need their services anymore. Given the turnover at most companies (5 years and under), I don't recommend using this as an analogy for a solid relationship. For that, I HIGHLY recommend "If I'm so wonderful, how come I'm still single"...

Please, don't waste your money on this book, I wish I hadn't. I have been more entertained reading tax regulations. I was trying to read this book on a plane and it was so boring I read the in-flight magazine instead. Total waste of my time and money.
