As the Amazon review notes, this is in the same territory as Mono, Explosions in the Sky (especially the third track) and even Kinski, with a bit more of a psychedelic touch (less of the crystalline side of EITS, more distortion). The tracks are instrumental, long and meandering, guitar-based, textured and rely on repetition-with-variation, shifts of intensity and mood building. I got hold of this expecting little more than a decent derivative of the bands mentioned - and then listened to little else for a week. This is a very strong first recording; I am already looking forward to more. Great stuff.

What can I say that the first reviewer (and the Amazon review) haven't said? Very solid album. Similar artists in my opinion would be Jakob (from New Zealand) - especially Solace and Cale Drew - and Red Sparowes. Ambient echoes, distant samples, quiet guitar, soft drums, feedback loops. Very well-paced and thoughtful. Songs build up with shimmering guitar, with patient bass and drums rumbling along.
