prodigal son returns to find he has a daughter,
By
This review is from: The Daughter He Never Knew (Harlequin Super Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Lila was devastated when the love of her life, Jason fled Pilgrim Cove to get some distance after the death of his twin brother. Several years later, he called her and told her he was never coming back and for her to move on. Unbeknownst to him, Lila gave birth to their daughter Katie. Now 8, Katie is about to get a daddy, as her mom is engaged to Adam, her best friend Casey's dad.
And then the elusive Jason returns out of the blue. Always a gifted musician, Jason now writes chart-topping songs. Lila is the subject of his latest collaboration, and he's professed his intention of returning to the ghosts of his past, including the only woman he ever loved. But with Lila on the brink of matrimony, and his sudden realization that her gifted musical child is his, Jason has a lot to prove. The latest installment in the Pilgrim Cove series is a highly emotional and satisfying story. The nice thing about the series is that each novel can stand on its own. All the usual suspects are back and readers familiar with the series will finally get to read the story of the star crossed lovers.

Lila and Jason! Finally!,
By
This review is from: The Daughter He Never Knew (Harlequin Super Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Lila Sullivan's heart shattered to pieces when Jason Parker fled Pilgrim Cove years ago. He promised to return. That promise kept her going. Five years afterward, he sent her a message. Jason was never coming back and Lila should not wait for him any longer. He would not return for her, so he never found out that he had a daughter, Katie.
Four more years have passed. Katie is now eight-years-old. She's thrilled that she is about to get a dad and a sister. Her mom, Lila, is about to wed Adam Fielding, He is the dad of her best friend, Sara. Katie did not believe her life could get any better, until her real dad appeared. Jason Parker has never gotten over Lila. Now he is finally hitting the big time. He does collaborations with singers to produce memorable music. His latest song, about Lila, is already on the radios. The song clearly tells the listeners his plans. Jason is ready to face his past. So everyone in Pilgrim Cove is waiting, wondering if Jason is honestly coming home. What will happen when he sees Lila again? What will happen when he finds out he has a daughter? ***** Once again Sea View House in Pilgrim Cove, Massachusetts, is working its magic. The tale of Lila and Jason has been long anticipated. Well, it has finally hit the book stores. Was it worth the wait? OH YEAH! This is the most intense, most joyful, and most emotional episode of the series thus far. Every book in the "Pilgrim Cove" series sits on my "Keeper" shelf, never to be loaned out. Mine! Mine! Mine! If you have not read any of these books as yet, order them before it is too late. And Linda Barrett, should you read this, don't stop writing about this town and its residents until you (at least) tell the story of the vet. ***** Reviewed by Detra Fitch of Huntress Reviews.

the story is not worth the time. the heroine is a pathetic loser. being a single parent should made her stronger. she is weak. the hero did whatever he wanted and the heroine was ok with it. the only thing right about the hero was he was not a jerk. he did not force the heroine to come back to him. women like her make men believe that they can do anything and everyting will wait for them.

I was looking forward to this book so much. I wanted to read
it as soon as I finished "The House on the Beach". The mood was set to really find out Where was Jason? and When would he come back? I found it hard to bring back some of my enthusiasm because it took so long for this book to come out. I love Pilgrim Cove with it's people and support they give to each other. It did not take long to be caught up in this story. Jason has had to overcome so much. Being a talented person he is able to create beautiful words and songs. Deciding to return to Pilgrim Cove he meets two wonderful children. Casey and Katie who begin to work miracles. They are so talented on the piano. Jason never knew that Katie was his but it is starting to dawn on him this is his daughter. How could he have gone away. He loves her so much. However Lila his girl friend in his senior year was there when his twin brother was killed. The reason Jason left Pilgrim Cove for the world. He could not deal with the death of his brother. But he finds out Lila is going to marry another man soon. How can he loose her after he has found out he has a daughter. Both Lila and Jason have lots of feelings to deal with. Again Sea View house seems to work it's magic making one special little girl very, very happy to have found her daddy and creating a real family for her and her mom. I am hoping that there will be more stories created around Pilgrim Cove and it's people. |
