"An important story, well told..."
From the Author
There are very few books about this atrocity, so I wrote DAUGHTERS OF THE DRAGON, a 92,000 word novel about the life of one of these women. Today, under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Japanese are trying to bury this history. It's a crime and I hope my book can help Americans understand why the Koreans, Chinese and Filipinos have such a problem with Japan's position.
BTW, my first novel THE ESSENTIAL TRUTH won first prize in the Mayhaven award for fiction. I was also an award winning advertising copywriter for 34 years. I wrote two books (that I'm currently re-writing) before DAUGHTERS to learn this very difficult craft.
I'm convinced you'll enjoy this book.
P.S. The comfort women who are still alive are now in their late 80's and 90's and their numbers are diminishing quickly. DAUGHTERS OF THE DRAGON is hard to take in a few places, but overall, it's a very uplifting story. And as I said, it's a story needs to be told!

Love this book. It is well written and a great source of insight into an ugly chapter in history that many Americans may not know about.Published 1 month ago by Colette McKiernan
