Daughters of Ishtar,
By Patricia B (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daughters Of Ishtar: Theology And Science In An Escapade Of Intrigue (Paperback)
For once, a conspiracy theory book that actually delivers. The Daughters of Ishtar has all the excitement and plot twists you'd expect in a book of this genre and much more. I've always loved books where I learn new things, and this book is brimming with genuine scientific theory broken down in such a way that you can see that this plot could really happen. The book is far more satisfying than the standard shoot and chase. I haven't read a book this crammed with ideas since Atlas Shrugged.

My first review,
This review is from: Daughters Of Ishtar: Theology And Science In An Escapade Of Intrigue (Paperback)
The Daughters of Ishtar is one of the most intriguing and novel premises I have seen in a long time. I am always fascinated by ancient orders that have endured to the present, but this book has also given the theme a new twist. The science and theology appears so authentic and plausible that it is difficult to separate the facts from the author's imagination. It's a good read.

This review is from: Daughters Of Ishtar: Theology And Science In An Escapade Of Intrigue (Paperback)
A criminology professor and an undercover operative, while thwarting a conspiracy to alter the human race for all time, still had time for romance. It is a fascinating and absorbing blend of suspense, conspiracy, history, theology, and science. The Daughters of Ishtar is a masterful and extraordinary accomplishment--a must read.

Beware Those Who Know Best,
By
This review is from: Daughters Of Ishtar: Theology And Science In An Escapade Of Intrigue (Paperback)
The best read since "The Da Vinci Code" and like it, I hope this conspiracy will be made into a movie. The author develops an intricately sinister plot that skillfully weaves religion and the latest developments in science into a chilling escapade that should awaken alarm about the potentialities that now lay in the hand of mankind or perhaps I should say womankind. The story is not only captivating; you may find yourself eager to separate facts from fiction, so smoothly interwoven, and to learn more about both religion and the science on which the author so imaginatively builds the suspense. The range of ideas presented touches on present day controversial political issues as well. The story moves rapidly from a murder investigation to one in which the investigators, Kirby Allen and Carolyn Thomas, find themselves enmeshed, not only with each other, but in uncovering the present day remnant of an ancient matriarchal cult intent on saving mankind from itself and restoring the primacy of feminine wisdom. Should they be successful there would be a profound impact on mankind (pun intended).
