one of the best ever written!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
this book is simply one of the best daughters of the moon books i ever read! lynne ewing is a excellent writer! the plot of the book involves around jimena traveling back into the past in order to prevent her most terrifying premonition to come true!!she also discovers that new enemies are trying to stop her from trying to prevent that from coming true. in order to save the other daughters, she must join forces with her old rival payasa and together must save them. the plot of the story also deals with the mythlogy of Medusa. this book was really fantastic but the ending was really sad and it leaves you wondering what will happen next. one of my faves so far!

WOW! i read this book within one day! - okay okay, i have done it before but this was something i couldnt put down. From the second i bought it to the second i was going to bed i didnt put it down. I delayed eating and my favorite tv shows. - All the daughters of the moon books i have read and loved. But this was far most my favorite one. This one is based on jimena who used to be the tuffest chola in la. Now she only uses the forces of good because she is a goddess, a daughter of the moon "tues dea filia lunae" but now, she has to go back and gang up with some very least likely people. We find out who the betrayer is. - and if you do happen to come across this review - and you havent read the serious, i suggest you do because it is so so so worth it. Dont just say "oh, sounds like [it's] for 10 year olds" - because its not. Im seventeen and i love it! Okay - im shutting up now.

Daughters of the Moon - 'The choice',
By Justine "Justine" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
Jimena and her best friends Serena, Catty, Tianna, and Vanessa are at a rock concert, having a blast, when suddenly the Atrox itself appears. Which has never happened before. Usually the evil being sends others in its place. Suddenly Jimena's friends are sucked into the dark cloud, disappearing without a trace. Catty, before she can be taken in as well, takes Jimena back into the past to try and have her change the future. But Catty made a mistake in her panic. She accidentally drops her friend right into enemy territory--Wilshire Blvd. Jimena soon is confronted by her old rival, Payasa, one chola with an attitude. Then, things go from bad to worse. Jimena is sent to juvenile detention camp after she is wrongly accused and arrested for an esctasy bust. How can she help her friends when she's in jail?! This book was incredible. I stayed up until around 2 in the morning finishing it. But.. I hope the series isn't coming to an end just yet!!! The next book is 'The talisman', which is taken from Maggie's (the Daughters' mentor and guide) view. 'What!? No Catty?' I thought. Well, Catty fans, there is quite a bit of her in this installment, though it's from Jimena's point of view, so don't worry.

It was an amazing story with an amazing ending. I can't believe....well I don't want to ruin it but now I understand that there are really only supposed to be 4 daughters and not Five! I still can't believe who betrayed them all...I really can't!Anyway Read it and you'll see what i mean. -Zach

the choice, one of the best,

This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
okay... first of all, i needed to wait for two months to get this book cos i live in the philippines... but the wait was worth it... in an attempt to change the future to stop The Atrox, Catty takes Jimena into the past. But she accidentally releases Jimena into Wilshire Blvd., where her gang rivals live. She meets up with her arch enemy Payasa, who tries to fight her. She escapes, but later on lands in jail for a false ecstacy bust. But with the help of Chris, she escapes again. In her mission to save the Daughters, Jimena finds out that one of her friends will betray the others. So when she gets to the Staples Center, she realizes it's Tianna. The ending of the book was sad 'cos Jimena chooses to remain on earth and forget about being a goddess. She celebrates her 17th bday with Vanessa, Catty, Serena and Tianna who realize that she has no more memory of what she was before...okay... my review was kinda confusing, huh?

Jimena was great in this book how she stood up for her self, and faced her worse fears. She came across alot of obsticles she had to over come. She was haunted by old mistakes, and had a love to deal with. It was really cool how she protected her friends, and old enemies. I learned a lot from her. I loved this book, but when I got to the ending I was a little upset, and I recommend it to any Daughters of the Moon fan because in my opinoin it was the best of the series so far...

The Daughters of the Moon Series,
By genesis (las vegas, nv, usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
I love these series! They have everything a book needs! My favorite is Vanessa after the 7th book (before it was Serena)(I can't stand Tiana!) Anyways the series is about Vanessa (has the power of invisibility), Catty (can go back in time), Serena (can read minds), Jimena (has preminitions), and Tiana (telekenetic powers). These girls are daughters of Selene, they fight the Atrox an ancient evil, and its Followers. They still have their normal teenage problems (boyfriends, parents, friends, enemies, etc.)to add to battling the Atrox. These are my FAVORITE BOOKS! They really capture you. Lynne Ewing is very discriptive, you can totally see what is happening while you are reading. I have read all the books including Party Girl (another book by Lynne Ewing). I just wish Ms. Ewing wouldn't have to make me wait for the next books to come out. Every week I am constantly checking if the next one is out already. Number 9 ending is so horrible. I hope Jimena remembers at least parts of when she was a DOTM or the others fill her in. Jimena is one of the best characters, Tiana should've forgotten, not Jimena. I started reading the books when I was 11, my friend introduced me to tham during a book report. I read number 4,5,6, and 7 all in 1 night! They have been my favorite books since then. Read the Daughters Of the Moon series, you'll love them!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
I couldn't believe it when Jimena was seventeen. I was so distressed. But I believe she made the right choice because she has to save the other goddesses somehow. I hope that she is Maggie successor, but somehow I doubt it because the 11th book is about Catty.

Jimena is my favorite daugther because is doesn't just care about herself, she care more about the other daughters and collin. I wish I could rewrite the ending but maybe she will become something better than a daughter of the moon! We will have to wait and see!

I don't know about you but Jimena BUGS me!,
By A Reader (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: The Choice - Book #9 (Daughters of the Moon) (Hardcover)
I don't know about you but Jimena BUGS me. She is my least favorite daughter I was kind of glad of what happened at the end for her but sorry at the same time. I mean you can't understand what she's saying 1/8th of the time. She thinks too much of herself also. It would be a good story if it was a different character like Serena or Catty. Even Tianna mabey Anybody! But anyway what happens is the Atrox appears at a rock concert at Planet Bang. She's confused because usually the Atrox sends others to them not himself. Later they find out that it is because of the Scroll and one of the Daughters called it. It was obvious who the traitor was if you really think about it. Also in the next books the traitor acts kind of wierd and there all sorts of hints. But in a way she's not really a traitor she was tricked. So when the Atrox showed up it sucked the daughters with it but before it could get Jimena and Catty they traveled back in time. But Catty panicked and dropped Jimena in enemy territory. So she meets up with her old gang rival Payasa. Then she gets arrested and put in jail. Chris saves her and breaks her out. She and Payasa become friends again. Jimena is also having premonitions of her death. But it's not what it seems. This is a good book but the character isn't.
