3.0 out of 5 stars Too Cliche
I use to love this series but now that i have read almost every book except #6&9 I realize that the way this book is written has too many cliches. I'm not saying that I write better, I can't even finish a book! I have stopped buying the whole series. What's up with Jimena? Does this writer really know what being a homegirl is like? And what's up with punk and girliness...

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: Possession - Book #8 (Hardcover)
Possession-book-rating:5 star Comments: The 8th and newest book to the exciting and magical series of Daughters of the Moon was probably one of my favorite. It had a very interesting plot and continued the love story between Serena and Stanton. Personally, Serena is my favorite goddess of them all. Anyhow, the story had many twists and turns as you read the captivating book. So many unexpected things around the corner. One of Lynne Ewing's best work!

Story: Serena is suddenly not acting the same all the time. She's become somewhat different. She's had strange dreams and eerie black outs after she helps an old woman. Serena finds herself chasing after her friends' boyfriends and going out of control. At first she thinks it's just stress, but as her symptoms get worse, Serena begins to believe there's a lot more to it. As you read along in the book, Serena discovers Stanton's hidden feelings and thoughts. Her choice when she turns 17 turns clear in the end and a very interesting preview of the following book makes you crave for more even after a very satisfying story.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Amazing I think I'm speechless, October 6, 2002

Ok, I have been waiting for 6 months to read this book and now i'm [mad] that I read it in one night. I wish I could go back and savor it for so much longer. It was amazing. Before this book my favorite Daughter was Serena but not because of awesome writing or what have you, but because I liked the struggle she had within and with Stanton...and let's not forget that she definately has the coolest power (being able to read minds and whatnot). My favorite book however has been the one about Stanton, so it makes sense that this book would become my favorite as it involves Stanton and Serena again. yay. In the book a run-in with an old lady brings about lapses of memory, un-Serena like actions and blackouts. She must find and confront the old women before whatever is happening to her takes over completely...oh and let's not forget the love interest, Stanton's BACK!!! WOO HOO...yes I am actually cheering for evil...but he's not, or is he? You can make that call. Anyway, as the story comes to an end Stanton asks Serena to do something...read what it is and if she does it in Possession by Lynne Ewing

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Book!, November 12, 2002

Have you ever been in a situation were you have to choose between the two most important things in you life that you LOVE? Well, that is how Serena Killingsworth feels. From the Series of "Daughters Of The Moon", I personally think this was the second best book written. (The first best was Book No. 2, also involving Serena!) Anyways, Serena starts having really wierd dreams where shes visiting places and finds evidence that's is true! Serena tries to recall the last thing she did before this problem happened, which was when a strange woman by the name of Aura gave here starange fluid to drink. Days later, she finds out that the concoction she was forced to drink was a special potion so the strange woman can abduct her body. (I know, this book reveiw sounds totally srange *LOL*) Anyway, Serena then finds out the onlt reason the woman is taking over her body was because she wan't to get into her boy-friends mind (Stanton, He is soooooooooooo cute!) to get her boy-friend out which happened to be the evil Lambert. Unsuccessfully, Stanton cannot stop Aura and Lambert is free. The only way Lambert can be defeted is if Stanton Joins power with the Key, Serena. I don't want to say toooo much, but that is was a GREAT book and I hope you all get a chance to read it! ...

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!, August 29, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: Possession - Book #8 (Hardcover)
I thought this was the best book yet of the series. When Serena suddendly starts to act weird, and doesn't remember were she's been for hours at a time, it worries the other daughters. Finally they make her call Stanton for help to ask what's going on. And she finds out that this woman wants her body! Well sort of...And unfortunaly for her Stanton doesn't know of any way to stop her. But of course, do you really think Stanton would let anything happen to her? Duh. It has many twists and turns, which made it confusing at the same time.
Her brother Collin has some surprises to. She also learns that since she is the key, she must make a decision that could change her life forever...
I CAN'T wait for the next book! The Choice, April 2003!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Daughters of the Moon: Possession-Book#8; By: Lynne Ewing, February 13, 2005
A Kid's Review
Payasa

Possession was an AWSOME book, like all of the other Daughter of the Moon books! It was about a girl named Serena who can read minds. All of her friends have powers too. She was running away from Jerome, a boy who has a total crush on Serena, but she tottaly hates him, and she bumps into this old lady who gives her some potion stuff. She wakes up hours later and walks home, but a black Lexus follows her. She went to sleep with an awful headache. She wakes up to find herself in the kitchen with words writen in her own blood'"YOU'RE NOT ALONE ANYMORE". Her friend, Catty's, mom invited them to read the future in a coffee cup, and she saw snakes, which means "an enemy has come to visit". Serena gets spaces in time where she can't remember anything. She starts to get really freaked. She finds the old woman and she is able to undo the curse by fighting the followers that the old woman is leading along with Lambart. This is a great book and I highly recomend it for readers that have read the rest of the series because it just gets better with every book. For those who haven't read any other books in the series, I recomend it if you like present day fantasy based in Los Angeles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Possession, April 26, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: Possession - Book #8 (Hardcover)
I think this book is the best one so far.. All of the other books i have read of Daughters of the moon haven't been like this one since the book The Sacrifice. I think in this book you get to understand Serena more.. What happens in this book is this.. Serena runs into this old lady runs into her and she makes her drink something...She wakes up and it is night time.. She keeps on passing out should I say. This car keeps on following her... She is just getting freaked out.. Jimena comes over so she makes sure she doesn't do anything.. Serena has a dream and well she thinks it is so not really and well she thinks that if she hurts her self that she will wake up. she wakes up and she know now that it was really.. So they go see Stanton and Serena freaks out on him so she says that when they see each other they will be enemies.... Oh and Jimena has been working on her power and so she can get a vision any time and she sees Serena and Stanton fighter together to fight off bad followers and another one that you will find out.. Oh and you know how they have two choices now Serena has three and they are...1 to lose her powers and her memory of what she once been. 2 disappear and become something else like a guardian spirit perhaps.. But now, unlike the other Daughters Serene had a third choice. She could become a goddess of the dark and be happy and be with Stanton... what will she chose. What will happen. DUDE READ IT

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, July 6, 2004
This review is from: Daughters of the Moon: Possession - Book #8 (Hardcover)
I like the way the book starts out with the prologue back in time. Then Serena runs into a homeless old lady (she thinks) and the book takes off from there. Serena is one of my favorite characters because she plays the cello and also has a pet raccoon. I like her power but Catty still wins. Still I wish I could read minds.
