I wasn't aware that there were 2 different albums out there. I never saw the one with just 12 tracks. I snagged the one at walmart and thought it was both refreshing and also rather odd (considering today's music business mentality) to include 2 bonus tracks of songs that the full band does earlier on the album.

Anyways, these two bonus tracks really bring out a new dimension in Chris. It really showcases just how phenomenal a singer the guy is. The acoustic version of Crash is amazing. I think it would have been really awesome if the band had originally recorded crashed with Chris and the acoustic starting the song and then busting in after the first chorus with the full band for the remainder of the song. but yeah the two bonus tracks really bring out an extra side of chris that only a duet with an acoustic can do.

And as far as the nickleback comparisons, I can see some similarities but they're far from clones. Nickleback has become a cliche'd modern rock sound and unfortunately everyone new in the industry that wants to be a modern rock band is forced into the comparison with them. Nickelback continues to release the same record over and over with different lyrics. Hopefully Chris's band can separate themselves from Nickleback by avoiding this mistake.

Chris Daughtry is one of the best finds of the American Idol show. I have to say that I am glad he didn't win because now he can do his music his way. The show gave him the exposure he needed to get a break. I knew from the audition show he was on that this guy was great! Chris, you are a great singer and a true star! This CD proves it!

Chris Daughtry is a true American Idol. Now he is free to express himself as he wishes. Chris received enough exposure to get himself known. I really love track #4 & #5.
I feel that A.I. lost big time by letting Chris go.

I can't stress enough how amazing this guy's voice is.

There's a difference between a performer and a real musician and Daughtry is certainly the latter. His voice is better than most of the past seasons winners: the strength, passion and emotion flies through his voice and right into you where you can't escape as much as you try. His is a voice that continues to grow and mature into something that can never be boring, repetitive or old. You want to hear where he goes and how he does and i guarantee, the destination will end up thrilling you more than the journey !

Highly recommended, keep your eyes on this guy =)

I ordered the album to hear the voice. Somehow it gets a bit samey from track 6 onwards. The voice is amazing, the songs original and the cover ios hot!!!
Better than Bo's first album sadly the songs didn't do justice to his voice.
Any plans for a duet?? be like Chad and Josey, maybe even better.

Out of all of the contestants from all of the american idol seasons, chris daughtry is one of my favorites (besides kelly clarkson and carrie underwood)...this cd surpassed my expectations of how good this cd was going to be. if you liked chris daughtry on american idol, youll love him more on this cd. a must have for any chris daughtry fan

Every song on the CD is great, the sound and the words. If you liked Chris on American Idol, you will LOVE the CD. He couldn't have put together a better band. My favorite CD in years. Chris is better than an American Idol, He's a Rock Star!!!
