About the Author
Alexander White is an attorney who lives in Northern Virginia and the nephew of the subject of the book, Major Joseph Sailer Jr. Mr. White used his family's archives of information about Major Sailer and did additional research, including interviewing surviving veterans of the Guadalcanal campaign who served with Major Sailer, to write the life story of his uncle.
