Inspiring story!,
This review is from: Dave Dravecky: He Had Made It to the Big Leagues, but Then the Doctor Gave Him the Bad News (Paperback)
I read this several years ago, and, as a librarian in a Christian school, I recommended it highly. Reading about real people of good character, especially inspiring people like Dave Dravecky, is a great way to teach children how to respond to some of life's hardships. Dave is open and honest in this real life account of the shock of a cancer diagnosis in his pitching arm. Some of his books for adults continue the story.
