5.0 out of 5 stars Dave Gleason"s Wasted Days
Dave Gleason's Wasted Days cd has just made it on my top 10 list. Dave Gleason and his band have truely brought back outlaw music at it's finest, kept it real and made it their own. I love me some country music, make it old, new, blue grass or alt. I sure hope we keep getting more people who are hip to the old sounds and keep it alive. Dave Gleason's Wasted Days will make...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too bad they aren't an all insturmental band
Dave Gleason's Wasted Days offer somewhat generic country rock with nods to honky tonk. It's not all bad. Unfortunately Mr. Gleason's off key vocals tend to make this a difficult release to listen to.

Dave Gleason's Wasted Days will make Waylon, Willie and even Gram happy. If i'm not mistaken this is Dave Gleason's Wasted days debut CD besides.

Hot ,Sweet, Cool, keep it up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Wasted with Dave, July 26, 2003
Have seen this group live a few times,AAA Class act.Not many cats love and live the guitar as much as Dave Gleason does.
Alot of brothers are still going through the motions but Sir Dave still belielves in the power of a 6 string and is not afraid to take you on his journey.Grab this cd and enjoy and prey that Dave and his Wasted posse follows this one up with a double live release. They are that good.

All I can say is buy this CD and you won't be disappointed! Check them out live sometime if you get a chance. Forget all the Graham Parsons/Buck Owens comparisions...this band as original as it gets these days. Rock solid rhythym section and profound lyrics. ....

Counrty rock with soul! The true California sound.
Beautiful harmonies intertwined with acoustic guitar, b-bender guitar, pedal steel, soulful bass, tasteful drumming and sweet yet tearful lyrics. Wonderful ...
what more could you ask for?

A couple of gems right off the back were "Serge Gains" "Soft Shoe" and "Flowers Picked"

I can't wait to see what they do next!

4.0 out of 5 stars Country Rock Keeps Rolling, November 1, 2006
Remember "country rock"? This album defines it, or should I say redefines it. I am a bit tardy reviewing this album but,I just heard it for the first time a week ago. I haven't heard edgy, distinctive, country sounds like this since I got turned on to Son Volt several years ago. Mr Gleason and friends might not get an invitation to join The Eagles at The Hotel California but, they would have one heckuva hoedown with Pure Prarie League, Gram Parsons and The Flying Burritto Bros., The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Dwight Yoakum, Emmy Lou and the rest. Don't waste another day, seek, find, and buy this CD
