This is an awesome collection of Dave Grusin's loveliest melodies of all-time featuring a bevy of the finest jazz musicians you can think of... David Sanborn, Lee Ritenour, Grover Washington, Jr., Steve Gadd, vocalist Phoebe Snow and Don Grusin, among others. This CD, produced by Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen, is simply fabulous.

Mr. Grusin is most notably known as the greatest TV and film soundtrack composer as well as an arranger, producer and a total performer (Acoustic Piano, Fender Rhodes, Synthesizers, Keyboards and Percussions). His music has a very distinctive sound and when you hear melodies such as "Mountain Dance," "St. Elsewhere," "Early A.M. Attitude" or "On Golden Pond," you'll never go wrong that these sounds are certainly his very own.

My personal favorites are the sprightly "Mountain Dance" (from his album of the same title and also my very first DG treasure), "Thankful 'N' Thoughtful" with lead vocals by Phoebe Snow, "St. Elsewhere," "On Golden Pond" (with The London Symphony Orchestra and taken from his "Cinemagic" album) and "Early A.M. Attitude" (from "Harlequin" album).

I wholeheartedly recommend this CD for your listening pleasure. You'll love it!

This album introduce me and turned me a fan of Grusin's Music, since I bought de LP many years ago. Absolutely recommendable for everyone who likes music.
