Dave Williamson has been worship pastor in churches small, medium and large. A licensed minister, his career path has taken him to churches of several denominations. His choirs and singing groups have been featured on dozens of recordings. He has produced and/or arranged for Christian musicians such as Natalie Grant, FFH, Larnelle Harris, Ron Kenoly, Babbie Mason, The Martins, Point of Grace, Alvin Slaughter, Sandi Patty, Truth and scores more - over 500 major recording projects since 1970. He has been nominated for numerous Dove awards, winning multiple Doves for "Musical of the Year." Dave has produced and arranged 3 gold records, denoting sales of over 500,000. He has written or arranged anthems, orchestrations, musicals and collections for virtually every major contemporary Christian music publisher.
The passion of Dave's heart is to be part of seeing the choir in the church around the world rediscover God's original plan for it - becoming worship leaders in the truest sense. He has dedicated his life to that objective, and since 2000, Dave has written and recorded "The Worship Leading Choir" journal, read and heard by thousands of church music and worship leaders. Dave also spends much time "on location" with choirs in churches, and with music leaders in workshops, teaching on this timely concern.
Dave lives in Brentwood, Tennessee, with his lyricist/poet/journalist/photographer wife of 40 years, Jan, and near their three married children and 8 grandchildren.
