This seemed like a good way to try different salts to finish my cooked dishes. Unfortunately, the packaging is a problem: the smokiness of the 'smoked salt' that leaks through to the other compartments. Hence, you really end up getting six varieties of smoked salt. I e-mailed the company to suggest they fix the packaging. The said they would look into it.

I ordered two of these collections for my mom and my sister for Christmas. One of the containers was missing one of the salts but after contacting the seller, they promptly sent me another one (Great Service!). The salts themselves are interesting, I love trying new stuff and so does my family. The only salt that I did not care for was the Eurasian Black Salt which had a sulpher-y eggy smell and taste which my sister did enjoy. My niece, who loves to lick some salt every now and again, loved the large crystals of the sea salt. Overall, good purchase.

Wonderful selection of exotic salts in one shaker container! Arrived in great time and exactly as described. Had questions; this seller answered them in a speedy, friendly and professional manner ~ GREAT!

As an aspiring chef in my own kitchen, I love trying new spices and herbs with different recipes. These salts are really unique and add a lot of flavor to food. I highly recommened this to anyone who loves to cook.

Love the different salts. I never knew there were so many different kinds. The smoked is really good rubbed into a good steak with a little pepper and then grilled.

i've always read that exotic salts had very different flavors and with dave's gourmet exotic salts i have found that to be very true. thanks for the fantastic service. this product is great.

This is a really fun thing for people who like salty food. The Eurasian Black Salt alone is worth the cost; it works magic on garbage pizza.
This can be a perfect gift when you don't know what or can't think of what someone would want or use. Even if they can't eat salt they can still keep it on the dinner table for others to use or talk about.

This is the second time I have bought Dave's 6 Gourmet Salts Collection. It's a great way to try out different flavors of sea salts (and there is a difference!). I found out my favorite is the Hawaiian Red Salt, but I liked them all.

XMas Stocking stuffer for a foodie. It was tested and nearly gobbled up upon opening. Great product for a great price!!! The smoked salt was a bit strong though.

I'm not a fan of all the flavors, the Eurasian black salt is quite sulfury, the Hawaiin red is very tasty, so is the fleur de sel. The sea salt has nice crystals, I have to admit I haven't tried the smoked, it definitely smells smokey, it's just not my favorite flavor or scent. Over all would be a great gift idea, good for a beginner into the world of salts, and good shipping, price. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the Eurasian black, I just don't have a use for it. Some might think it's their favorite, who knows?
