A great session with Cedar Walton (piano), Bryan Carrott (vibes), David Williams (b), Kenny Washington (d). "For Stanley" is a tribute to another tenor giant the late Stanley Turrentine. Listen to the pure singing tone of Newman on Davey blue and Cristo redentor (alto).

An excellent session. The saxophonist is backed by Cedar Walton (piano), Bryan Carrott (vibes), David Williams (bass), Kenny Washington (d). "For Stanley" is a tribute to another great sax player the late Stanley Turrentine. Newman is a soulful saxophonist. Listen to his pure singing tone on "Cristo redentor" (alto) and "Davey blue" (tenor).
