The book is an improvement on the Olympus E5 manual, but I was disappointed that it did not go far enough into optimizing the camera settings. The book positions itself as Intermediate-Advanced but I would call it Intermediate only. The book is a handy guide and worth purchasing as a replacement to the Olympus manual, especially if you have just purchased the camera. If you know how to use the camera and are an Advanced user, then you will not learn too much more. The quality of the publication is very good.

This is a must have book for anyone with the new Olympus E-5 Digital SLR camera.

I started with the Olympus E-10 when it was first introduced, graduated to the E-500 and. in Jan. 2011, purchased the new E-5 model Olympus.

After all my experience with the prior Olympus cameras, I found trying to read and understand the factory manual for this camera and all its' controls and nuances, to be a challenge.

Mr. Busch's book makes the learning curve much easier to work through and makes it much easier to properly use the E-5 and the programs that accompany it. The book is clear and concise and the illustrations very helpful.

A book well worth the investment if you are a serious E-5 owner and user.

The purchase of this book through Amazon.com was an added plus. Though it was the busy Christmas season, I received it within 5 days from the author, signed by the author.

One of the best books of its kind I have read. Will have to re-read more than once to take full advantage of the knowledge of the E-5 David Busch places in the book as well as the general tips he gives as the book covers the camera. Worth every penny and much more!

Book wasy very well illustrated and the photographs with the examples was very beneficial. There was some repetition from explanations of functions that could be accessed through other menues but nothing significant. Much easier to understand than the small print owner's manual. The owners manual points out where to access various functions, buttons, and menues, but doesn't really explained what the best way to use them and what the results may be as this book does. The photo illustrations of what the end result will be with various settings was extremely helpful. I think anyone with this camera would find the book very helpful and a good addition to their library.

I really like this book. I wish there had been an edition for the Olympus E-3. I think anyone purchasing the E-5 would find this book helpful, no matter what the skill level.

The book cover all items and is good for a beginner. Otherwise, one can figure everything by himself... just play and take pictures.
