2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Grady Harp HALL OF FAMETOP 100 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on December 6, 2010
For those who have not yet decided to purchase David Choe's monograph available here on Amazon.com, then this inexpensive but very polished little book of 30 postcards by this amazingly fascinating artist is a fine introduction. The various styles Choe uses to create his art statements - from carefully painted, fully representational figures, to line drawings, to explosions of kaleidoscopic madness and political statements - it is all here. There are postcard collectors who are always on the lookout for the unusual. Well, welcome to the highly unusual David Choe! This is a terrific little gift for those in the family or friends who like to keep up with what is new in the art world. A quality product from Chronicle Books. Grady Harp, December 10

If you like his work, go for it... as this is one of the few things that a majority of his fans can actually afford...

Had never seen his work until I came across this postcard set. The 30 cards come bound in a book that is encased in a tab closed cover, which is nice to keep them all together. Most of the images are great, rich colors, interesting subject matters and his use of varying media (paints, photos, blood, ink, pencil) makes for some striking prints. Some of them just don't seem to fit with the others, I will send out all but 5 or 6 that I personally don't care for. The worst part of the collection is the front of the cards, more than half of the card is taken up by the "address to" area.

I almost hate to send these because they're so gorgeous I want to keep all of them. The image and paper quality is superb. I would love to order another book of his if he ever released one. This is excellent art and will make any recipient thrilled to find in his/her mailbox.

Of course, anything that David Choe creates is on the MUST-HAVE list of any enthusiast of street art or Asian American culture. David offers some mind-blowing art work that begs to be hoarded.
