Journey through the Bible is a book our family has used for education, art, and leisure reading. The book has been a great resource for factual Bible information as well providing back-drop for biblical stories and settings. Main Biblical stories are lifted out and highlighted in such a way that much clarity is shed on Biblical truth. For instance The plagues are condensed and reference to which Egyptian God is being attacked by each plague. The book stands alone as a great reference but also works well with other educational literature. The pictures provide aid in understanding background culture and setting i.e showing what a zigguret could have looked like with several differnt examples. The information is fresh, clear and concise. Heartily recommended!

We are using this for our homeschool(5th grade) and we are loving it! Very useful and FULL of information. You can walk right through the Bible with this, hitting all the major points of scripture. Nice colorful pages make it easy to keep our 10 year old's interest! (mine too!)

This book is amazing. It has so many pictures and other information pertaining to the Bible. My children love it.

We're using this along with a Bible Study program and a chronological study of history. It links the two beautifully, explaining the questions my child is asking. The pictures are wonderful.

This is a great resource to go along with Bible reading, whether a children or adult's version. It is organized in the same order you'd read in your Bible. Nice pictures to go along with thorough narrative which helps us understand what life was really like and not just through our 21st century eyes.

This book is one of the best things I've bought for use with homeschooling. It's nice for the kids to have another resource for what they are studying and this includes culture notes as well, that make it more fun and interesting to learn, especially about the Old Testament. We use it as a supplement, but I honestly think if you are a creative person, you could just buy this book and go through it with your kids yourself. Make up some worksheets and crafts and you're set. :) I would definitely buy this book again, and Amazon's price was the best I've found anywhere for it.

I'm very happy with this book. I'm using it as a supplement for homeschooling, but it would be a great resource for any Christian home! The book covers many of the "big" Biblical accounts - e.g., creation, the flood, Tower of Babel, Abraham/Isaac/Jacob/Joseph, Moses and the exodus, Ruth, Samuel, Saul, David, Jonathon, Solomon, Elija, Daniel, etc. etc. then there's the New Testament accounts starting with John's birth, Jesus' birth, Jesus' ministry and sacrifice on the cross, and the spread of Christianity. Most accounts are about 2 pages each, and some are one page. There are color, useful photos and small maps (not many maps) on every page to supplement the reading. And the reading is not dry, but interesting. I couldn't put it down after I received my copy! Highly recommend this as a supplement to your Bible studies or for teaching children. It's a great visual aid!

The pictures are bright, colorful and beautiful. Book is well laid out. Easy to use. My kids have enjoyed using this a resource in our homeschool!

My daughter (6 years old) and I read a page of this book every night. She loves it and I am amazed at how much I learn from this book. It's easy and simple read.

This is an excellent book! It is well illustrated & has an abundance of very helpful information. I appreciate that it was recomended to us.
