...That the original price for this slim workbook was going for $60. I was so excited to be getting a David laChapelle book at such a discount ($9) that I neglected to read the details(40 pages including credits and approx 16 pages not in English. I assumed that the rape of Africa was a collection not just ONE collage and a lot of giant child sized type explaining details of that one image. Half of the book is in some Eastern European or south Afrikaans-esque language. I have yet to read it but here's hoping that the few giant paragraphs of copy are so insightful and mind altering that it reforms my earlier opinion. You wanna know the truth? I wouldn't have paid the $9 for this. This book is thinner than a kids book. It should have been a 3 page pamphlet If you pay the full price know you are paying for the the hard binding and a glimpse of Naomi Campbell's left nipple.....but then who hasn't seen Naomi's nipple?
