In David's new novel FLIGHT OF THE SPUMONIS a 13-year-old trapeze artist runs away from the circus to cross 1980 America. Think of it as a HUCKLEBERRY FINN for our time. SAN CAFÉ, set in Central America, was published in 2012. SLICK! a novel set in the Middle East with the same protagonist, Bobby Gatling, appeared in 2011. Kirkus Reviews named SLICK! one of its 25 Best Indie Books of 2012.
David also authored the non-fiction work GOD'S OTHERS: NON-ISRAELITES' ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD (iUniverse, 2010), a project that required a dozen years of research and writing. A retired advertising creative, he also wrote the book--literally--on the business side of freelancing: SOLO SUCCESS: 100 TIPS FOR BECOMING A $100,000-A-YEAR-FREELANCER (Crown Publishers, 1998).
David holds a BA in English Literature from Alfred (New York) University and an MA in English from St. Mary's (San Antonio) University. He lives in San Francisco.
